“Best Non-Seafood Tower” winner in Best of Boston 2025. A bar, but famous for hot dogs.

Starlite-style Dog: A signature item, a delightful surprise with Aioli sauce. The freshness of lemon and the spiciness of mustard complement each other perfectly.

Hand-Cut Fries: Hand-cut, thick-cut fries, freshly fried. A blissfully hot temperature and soft texture inside. Met well with aioli, or ketchup.

The Gentlemen: Bourbon/Belle de Brillet/Lemon. A choice perfectly aligned with the bartender’s advice. Sweetness of the pear and bitterness of the bourbon whiskey were pure both, the zingy aroma of citrus captivated most.

This place is such a gem. My boyfriend and I had the best date night ever, so much so that we went the next night too. The staff is super friendly (we especially loved Virgilia and Izzy), the food is outstanding, and the vibe is chill perfection. Highly recommended.

Incredible little eclectic dive bar in the heart of Cambridge. The vibes were excellent, very high energy. We came in relatively late evening for cocktails, and had a blast. We had recently eaten, so we didn’t order food, but saw a number of tasty snacks around the bar. Also, whoever was on the playlist did a magical job.

TLDR: poor hospitality

I’ve been to Trina’s a few times and think that the cocktails are well made and the beer selection is alright. The hot dogs are hot dogs so that’s chill. The atmosphere and service during my most recent visit to the establishment left me pretty motivated to leave a written review. The music is always about two notches too loud, leaving it difficult to have a conversation with those who are not immediately next to you. The worst part about my visit was the hospitality rendered from the staff behind the bar. It was not a busy night, and my three friends popped in for a couple drinks. We waited a couple minutes for some bar seats to open up on the corner (which we were clearly waiting for and had set our stuff down at the seats once they had opened up) only to have them swooped up by a couple of what I believe to be regulars. While this is not the fault of the staff, I found their reaction to this to be completely inappropriate and unprofessional. When my partner apprehensively clarified that we had been waiting, the others sneered at her and the bartender told them that they did not have to move. The bartender then proceeded to be incredibly passive aggressive and clearly started talking about us to the other staff. The aggressiveness continued when the bartender ID’d our friend who had not ordered a drink (we are 24). As someone who works in food service myself, I understand the need for compliance but I would not have interacted with customers in the manner she did that night. After a long 30 minutes of considering what we had done wrong as patrons, the bartenders personality did a complete 180 once it was time to pay up. I would not recommend attending Trina’s for a chill night out.

Amazing food. It looks like a place you scurry by quickly on the road, but once you’re inside it is a whole new experience.

We had the corn dog, tater tots, Mac & Cheese, and corn bread and they were great. Food brought past us to other tables (hot dog tower, sloppy joes) smelled just as good.

I’ve been here several times and I always enjoy myself. My personal favorites are the Starlite-Style Dog, Fried Chicken, and the Rockin’ Chair cocktail served cold. If you do have a choice on seating and it’s not boiling or freezing outside, the patio/outdoor seating is the place to be.

Came back for brunch and it was delicious. Would recommend the blueberry and cheesecake pop-tart!

My friend and I loved our meal here. I’m annoyed at myself for not going sooner! We split the Mac n cheese and brussel sprouts, and each ordered a hot dog. The two apps were generously sized which was nice for sharing. We even had leftovers. My chili dog was great. We also ordered their version of the espresso martini and were happily surprised it was served in a pint glass. I’d describe it as a boozy iced latte. It was amazing!

The place had a cool vibe over all. A quaint bar area when you walk in and a nicer area for seating if you wish to eat. Well laid out and service was good. The tater tots were unexpected and tasty. Homemade tater tots require some time to prep and thus, not very common. I was craving a corn dog, which is what brought us to the restaurant. It was very ordinary. Decent dog, slightly overcooked and plain batter. Chili dog was tiny. Hand held with hardly any chili. The spaghetti was overly salted and strangely sweet. Meatballs weren’t breaded at all. Dense all meat meatballs. Not bad, just very dense and unexpected. The house espresso martini was mostly froth. A two sip wonder. Very underwhelmed overall considering the great reviews and recommendation by friends that live in the area.

What a great surprise!!
From the outside not much to look at-inside, a busy crowded restaurant and bar. A fancy-dive bar with a diner feel. We had a great time, service was great and the French fries are to die for!!! The chick Caesar sandwich was super tasty. We will be back.

A simple yet tasty spot for burgers, bowls and more. Their veggie burger is good (although I regret they don’t have impossible or beyond patties). Korean bowl – very good, although probably for warmer weather. If they had soups, it’d be a blast, but I’m still giving them five stars for friendly staff.
