We have eaten in and have been pleased. We made the mistake of ordering take out. It was cold and very sad looking. A third of the pizza didn’t have sauce or pineapple on it. The broccoli was our mistake. Some how we hit the button for an add on. Don’t ever get broccoli on pizza. Hamburger is not worth $17.50. $50.32 was too much to pay for this meal.

I ordered the elk burger and it was incredible — authentic, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The service was top-notch, attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance struck the perfect balance: cozy, inviting, and fitting for the vibe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something unique and satisfying!

Lacy was fantastic, quick, and efficient. Took the time to check on us multiple times during lunch.

We ordered the wood fired pretzel, and it was delicious. Soft, sweet, and melt in your mouth good.

We also ordered the beer cheese nachos topped with pulled pork. Also very delicious and covered in delicious cheese.

Had the Fancy Pants stout and give it 2 thumbs up.

The only interesting thing is we came through the back door, when we told them there were only 2 people, we had to walk out the front door, and down 2 doors to their next seating location. It’s just a weird setup.

We went for Valentine’s Day and had a reservation for 7:30. We arrived at 7:12 and were seated promptly. Immediately our waitress got our drink orders and then when they arrived, we placed our appetizer order. We didn’t get our appetizers (pretzel bites and fried pickles) until after 8:10. I understand it was a holiday, but the kitchen was severely behind and at one point we heard them say they were out of food shortly after getting our apps. A man stood at the bar waiting for his takeout order for over 40 minutes. We heard him tell another waiting customer that he had ordered online ahead and should have just opted for a pizza from somewhere else. Thankfully we were in good company and the waitress was on top of refilling our drinks but what should have been a quick bite turned into a 2 hour long experience for simply ordering a dill pickle pizza, the rustic melt, and two trailblazer burgers. We hope to return for a more accurate dining experience in the future with hopefully less wait time for food. Valentine’s Day is like the Super Bowl in the restaurant industry, and unfortunately TrAilstoAle was on the losing team last night.

We’ve gone several times and the food has always been good, especially the pretzels! The service for the most part is really good; just once we had a bartender who basically ignored us for some reason. The atmosphere is usually quite relaxing. We really do like their beer and food; it’s a nice plane to grab a bite to eat in a beautiful small town!

A girl working named Brittany really stood out here, to us. A young person who is obviously intent on providing great service, guiding us as guests through our own decision making process (this was my 1st time here) AND doing this with a welcoming, kind, and friendly attitude should be recognized! Great beers, awesome environment and again, great service. Thanks! Next time we will grab something to eat!

Stopped for lunch and a beer just after noon on Saturday of the 4th holiday weekend.

It was busy and we went in the back door from the parking lot and were offered to go outside and into the other side of the restaurant next door, although tables were open on the bar side.

We opted to sit at the bar and the service was good for the business of the establishment. Ordered two beers, a lager and ipa, served cold! For lunch a chicken bacon ranch wrap with broccoli and a rustic melt with a side salad. The ranch is homemade and the food was delicious!

Stopped after biking on the Sandy Creek rail trail. 16 miles out and back, beautiful trail.

Fantastic dinner, delicious beer, homemade ranch and fresh cut fries, beautiful sunset!

Stopped by after paddling the Allegheny for a few days and was pleasantly surprised by this gem in Franklin, PA! I was expecting a more low key place (we hadn’t bathed for 3 days), but it was busy with a good atmosphere when we got there.

Loved the variety of beers – the Blueberry, served with whole berries in it, was refreshing, and the American IPA had just the right balance of hops. Tried a steam beer for the first time and became an instant fan! They also serve delicious wood-fired pizza and pretzels. Cool idea with the slate coasters.

Good spot to unwind and enjoy good food and brews after outdoor adventures!
