This was our second time dining here. Unfortunately, our first visit was mediocre at best. I personally didn’t plan on returning because the steak I had during that visit was very disappointing. However, since we were meeting friends here last night, we decided to give it another try.
My girlfriend really enjoyed her sushi roll, which was great to see. Unfortunately, I ordered a steak again, and it was just as disappointing as the first time.
I don’t typically leave reviews, but the service added to the frustration. We ordered drinks before dinner and didn’t receive them until after we had finished eating. While they did comp the drinks—which we appreciated—we were repeatedly told they would arrive “soon,” but they never did until we were done with our meals. I was also nearly finished with my steak before I was given a steak knife. I asked for ketchup, but by the time it arrived, I no longer needed it because I had already decided to just eat my meal as-is since I was so hungry.
I completely understand occasional service delays when a restaurant is busy, but we arrived around 6:00 PM and the restaurant was not busy at all. Unfortunately, based on our experiences, we won’t be returning.

Very good location. We sat in the greenhouse room for lunch. It’s a nice place but it feels like it’s time to upgrade the upholstery on the booths(a little tired). The food was good. Salad was OK. House made chips were very good. Chip dip was just ok. The sushi was very good. Service was decent. I’ll be back but I don’t think it’s a Detroit destination restaurant anymore.

Exceptional atmosphere with DJ and live musicians! Service was wonderful – thank you Iyanna 🙂 The chef also came out a couple of times to check on each table and chat which felt really special. Great meal and epic deserts!!! We shared the chocolate cake and the Michigan Cherry. Yum!

Huge thank you to Chris J for taking such great care of our family! We had a phenomenal time, the day after my sister’s wedding. The open air design of the glass house & the interior decorations are exceptional. Everything down to the glassware was quality. We’ll be back!!

This is a beautiful restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was impressive!! Im a big fan of the floral and greenery sprawled across the ceiling in the greenhouse dining room. Location is conveniently a block away from campus Martius. I would definitely recommend Townhouse for a nice romantic dinner date!

Best birthday ever! Came here for my 21st birthday, and Ashley was my service artist. She made the night super memorable, sending me an appetizer I was unsure about trying, and a full show at dessert! Sparklers, a sign on the DJ screen, as well as a hand written note. Fantastic food, and the perfect way to celebrate a special night

We ordered Calamari, Veggie Roll, Sashimi, the Burger, Brussels Sprouts, and various cocktails. Everything came out so quickly, Colby was an absolute delight & so attentive, and made my celebration feel so special. Thanks again!

Koby was our server tonight, it was our first wedding anniversary and treated us so well. Very attentive and helped us pick off the menu and loved it so much. It was a great night out, and the fresh tuna is to die for.
