The food at this Indian restaurant was absolutely amazing, truly some of the best authentic Indian cuisine in the area. The mutton curry with porotta is the standout dish—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—definitely the most recommended item if you’re searching for the best mutton curry near me. The serving staff were awesome, gentle, and incredibly kind, offering warm that made the experience even better. We did try Carrier combo with Thalapakatti Mutton Biryani, Ambur Chicken Biryani and Veg fried rice along with Mutton Paya soup. All the food tastes excellent. Must try mutton biryani that is made of Seeraga Samba rice that give you a special flavor and distinctive aroma.

We had a really disappointing experience at Anjappar Chettinad in Plano. We ordered Gobi Manchurian and Hyderabad Vegetable Dum Biryani, and both dishes were far below expectations.
The Gobi Manchurian we received was almost completely burnt, and the entire box was filled with oil. It was so greasy that oil pooled at the bottom, and you could literally taste the burnt pieces with every bite. It was honestly difficult to eat.
The biryani was equally disappointing. We specifically ordered Hyderabad Vegetable Dum Biryani, but what we received felt more like plain flavored rice with a few peas and paneer pieces thrown in. It didn’t resemble Hyderabadi dum style at all and tasted nothing like what we expected.no depth, no aroma, no biryani feel at all.
To make things worse, when we called the restaurant to let them know, they insisted that the burnt taste was “soya we added like that.” Instead of acknowledging the issue or offering help, they completely dismissed our concern. We really didn’t expect such a response, especially when the food quality was clearly bad.
Overall, this was one of the worst frustrating experiences we’ve had. With poor food and no accountability, we will not be ordering again

The flavors of food are great here . Loved the special pomfret fish wrapped in banana leaf with fresh parotta. Along with it the masala shrimp and chicken korma was also good. Each and every dish had a special taste and not too spicy for the palate.

We stumbled upon this restaurant this evening and are so glad we did! We tried the butter chicken and a spinach dish with paneer (I can’t remember the name of it), and both dishes were delicious! The waiter explained the dishes and advised which were more spicy than others, and the chef visited our table to make sure we were enjoying our meal. The entire staff were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Absolutely inedible food , we ordered Chicken biryani and crab roast on doordash – the biryani was horrible, too too spicy when I specifically said mild the crab was kinda spoilt and too much masala. What an utter waste of money biryani straight in the trash it was Absolutely red chilly spicy , one bite and was hiccuping for hours . Straight to the trash ! Never again. Also no bill provided

Delicious – I ordered a Crab Masala and Veg Chilli Parotta and called up to prepare for specific instructions. Chef Jeeva showed utmost care to prepare to the requirements of the customers. Over all the food was excellently prepared, came hot and it was delicious and fresh especially the Crab.
So, next time remember to call the restaurant and speak to the Chef Jeeva and he will make your day happy by preparing to your needs. Kudos to the the Restaurant which sets them apart from the bunch.

After a very long time, I had a good food and the people i met in the restaurant. My kids loved because the spice level is normal. We ordered many food but took few Pics, since i forgot to take the PICS. Really a good time and my Tummy was full.
Now the management is changed and they are making a good delicious food.

Food at anjappar chettinad Indian restaurant really made my day. I had a long journey, when I reached dallas I was craving for good indian food. It’s also hard to find the best restaurants in Dallas because of lot of restaurants. The service is very very good, food taste awesome and I really recommend all Indian to try it.
