Nice place for a drink, great bartenders.
Town Royal has an older clientele, at least when I was in there. Might be different on weekends, I don’t know. And definitely could be based on if ESU is in session or not. One pool table in back and some dart boards.

This bar has a great atmosphere and awesome bartenders! I had never been here before but we came down here after a bad experience at another local bar and let’s say we will keep coming here!

I freaking love this place! Especially now y’all got all that pinball! I’ve only had one bad experience down there and that was just because of one jerk otherwise the staff is awesome and it’s always fun to come in play some games and chit chat.
I threw at least $10 into those pinball machines and me and my friends had a blast! Always tip your bartender because they’re working hard so we can have fun.
Maybe I’ll make it down there for St Patty’s… seriously one of the best places in town and that’s why we call it Royal!

This is a comfortable and cozy bar. Don’t expect slick interiors or fancy artisanal cocktails. But if you’d like a pint of porter or a rum and coke in a low-key environment, this is your place.

I refer to this place as the Townie bar. This is where a lot of locals go to drink, socialize, and watch sports. There’s always a friendly local crowd for after work drinks and during sporting events. There’s more of a mixed crowd with a stronger college/party vibe when the students come out later in the evening. All around, a good place to have some drinks with friends, or make some new ones!

My cousin and I came in earlier tonight and ordered two oatmeal stouts at the bar. The bartender poured and served them to us and they were completely flat, which was obvious from the first sip. We immediately returned them and asked for a replacement. Another bartender, whom I can only assume was acting in a managerial capacity, told us that they were fine. I stirred my beer to show there was no carbonation in it at all. He then said that we should either leave or he would have someone escort us out. I said we would go somewhere else if he refunded my purchase. HE CALLED THE COPS. The police showed up (we hadn’t had a single drink yet) and let us leave without incident. I’m not sure how this place even stays in business. Long story short, DON’T GO HERE, unless you like FLAT BEER and BAD SERVICE, go to Mulready’s instead.
