Tiny little road side burger barn, delivers in spades and punches above its humble looks! Wow, taste the fresh ground, perfect topping proportions and fresh bun…ordered the jalapeno bacon cheeseburger and was impressed! Glad I stopped in, lots of waiting customers and food turn around was quite prompt. Loved it! Reasonable pricing too. Easily the best fast food burger in Midland. Tried larger orders ahead for coworkers, everything was perfect. The latest was a green chili, bacon and spicy jack burger! BOOM! Incredible. Onion rings came out hotter than a pistol and absolutely delicious. Love this place!

I understand the nostalgia behind this place, and I really wanted to like it. The concept of an old-fashioned burger spot is appealing.
However, for the price point, the overall experience didn’t feel balanced. The “monster” burger is large but more of a novelty than something I’d order again, and the portion of fries served alongside it felt modest relative to the cost.
At this level, I expected stronger execution and better overall value. There are other spots in Midland that deliver a more satisfying experience for the same, or less money.

The food at this restaurant was excellent! It was delicious, hot, and fresh. The employees were incredibly kind and helpful and the establishment was really clean as well. I only wish there was seating.

Y’all… I tried the Monster Burger and this thing was GINORMOUS — literally bigger than my hand! A fresh, perfectly toasted bun stacked sky-high with the juiciest, plump burger, melted cheese you can actually taste, and that perfect crispy bite of bacon that takes it over the top. Every bite was pure old-school burger heaven.
If you haven’t been to Videl’s Old-Fashioned Hamburgers, this is your sign. Go get the Monster Burger.

Today was my first day eating here and I ordered two specials. The hamburgers were very, very, very delicious. They were on point but, I was disappointed with the quantity of the french fries even if I ordered a small I should have got more than what I was served. Also, I didn’t like that there is nowhere to sit and eat? Other than that, the food was good, but I would never come back. The food was overpriced.

First time trying and I’ll definitely be coming back! Juicy, flavorful big burgers. Ordered my daughter nuggets and those were really good as well! I love their raspberry lemonade so refreshing in this Texas heat. I’ll be back to try their funnel cake fries since they didn’t have this visit :/

Staff is super friendly and very helpful with suggestions if you’ve never been there. I got the Monster Big Burger and added hatch green chili and bacon and it definitely lives up to it’s name! All in all very tasty and would recommend for anyone who likes old fashioned style and taste!

Tried Vidal’s. The staff was very friendly. The wait time for food was minimal. We ordered Cheeseburger, steak fingers, and chicken strips! All of them were great. Would absolutely recommend. Will be returning soon.

We were visiting Midland and heard about this place so we had to come! We wanted to try the monster burger but they were out when we went unfortunately! But even the burger we did get was probably one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while! Definitely will be back when we are back in midland!!
