i got the spicy pork katsu ramen happy hour combo with the spring rolls and sprite. i also ordered the takoyaki

i ordered it to go and everything was phenomenal and hot when i got home. my only gripe was the noodles in the ramen, but that’s a personal preference as i like my noodles thick. these noodles were more like what you’d see in Maruchan packs. the broth had a good spice to it, though i would have liked it up another level

We ordered 5 dishes. The stand out dish was the quail. It was delicious and not something we see all the time. All the chicken skewers we got we’re good. Juicy but cooked well. We especially enjoyed the curry skewer. The takoyaki is good but not better then other places. We got the steak skewers but thought that for the price it wasn’t that good. We would rather have bought more quail.

The atmosphere is nice. We liked that tables by the window put you dude by side to watch the people walking by. We also liked that you could order and pay on your phone.

If you’re getting skewers do be prepared to spend quite a bit of don’t go hungry. You will need a lot but it’s quite fun. We’ll be back though to try their other dishes. We think the bowls will be more substantial if your looking for a meal with more bang for your buck.

If you’re looking for delicious food with an extensive menu of Asian dishes, G-San is for you.

The Ramen was perfect! The chicken wings were good, the shrimp rice entree was huge and delicious!

The menu doesn’t have any descriptions but the staff was super helpful!

Nice vibes and delicious food. Love ramen and the grills. So happy to see another Japanese restaurant open on Delmar, will def come back

Some grills are spicy, which is totally fine to me ( I love spicy food). it might be a good idea to show spice level on the menu

I came here couple of days ago, and the overall experience was okay. I was looking for a new Japanese restaurant in the area, and I found this place. From the outside, it looked like a hole-in-a-wall establishment, and I love that kind of vibe cause I know that place serves delicious food! But, when I came here, the floor was passable and overcooked. The chicken karaage and the pork cutlet were both overcooked and dry. The service was good, and the staff was attentive and quickly got my order. The ambiance is cute and exciting.

While this place isn’t bad, there are some areas for improvement, particularly with certain dishes. For instance, the Karaage was served with sweet chili sauce instead of the traditional mayo and lemon wedge, which was unexpected. Additionally, the use of chili oil on some dishes was unnecessary. As someone who was raised in Japan, we do not use a lot of spice in our food. The chili flakes on the Karaage were unnecessary. The rice cakes and octopus had a similar flavor due to the heavy use of chili oil, giving them more of a Chinese taste rather than Japanese. I also found the Ramen to be lukewarm, and the tonkotsu flavor was somewhat lacking, though not unbearable. Overall, the food here isn’t terrible, but I would appreciate a more authentic approach to Japanese cuisine. Loved the atmosphere and music though

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!! Place is absolutely horrible the servers were sooo RUDE. Me and my family sat down for 2 seconds then left immediately i witnessed the server talk about a customer leaving the bathroom in a very ill mannered way, I’ve never felt as unwelcome as I did at this place in the Delmar loop EVER! The place was completely empty and I could definitely see it closing soon because of the atmosphere the management allowed the staff to create

Ordered the spicy pork katsu ramen today.

It had a great first taste — bold and flavorful. Both the broth and the pork were rich and satisfying at first. But after getting through about half the bowl, I started to find it a bit too salty. The strong flavor, while impressive at the beginning, became a bit overwhelming as I kept eating.

Still, a solid choice if you enjoy intense, savory ramen — just be prepared for the saltiness!

My actual score is 3.5/5 but decided to round up since I’m willing to try the place again. I think that it is okay. It could just be that I didn’t get the best thing they were known for. Great meat so probably stick to skewers and rice platters. Serving time wasn’t too bad in my opinion. A bit under staffed so it is understandable since they just opened.

I think the food is pretty average in my opinion.
Not amazingly good but not bad either. The ramen, was okay. Wish it had a better broth base. However the tonkatsu and Katsu tasted good. Large portions. The takoyaki was a bit lackluster. Needs a bit more flavor/sauce in my opinion. Again, good lunch spot but it is hard to

This is just my personal opinion, but I personally hope they cut down on their menu choices and focus on what they are good at. Especially on the loop when there is already a good ramen spot and Katsu place, I would love for this place to be more so like an izakaya style place especially since the aesthetics are so nice and they seems to have good meats/finger food options, but that’s just my two cents. I personally wish the best for the restaurant and hope that improvements are also made!

You need to stop what you’re doing and go try G-san on the loop!!! This place has made my go-to list for friend dinners. They have a great selection of entrees, but the magic is in the skewers, sides and apps. You can spend a couple bucks on each skewer and get a side of rice for an excellent and inexpensive meal, or you can get a bunch of different skewers to share among friends for a great communal dinner experience. It’s perfect for a budget night out or an easy lunch.

The fried quail egg skewers are fire and so are the curry steam buns. If you’re a fan of eel, then say no more. They’ve easily got your back in this department!

They put a ton of love into these dishes and you should go out show them some love too!
