Town Pump Bar and Grill is located 7 miles from downtown Rhinelander on Hwy 8W with access to ATV, UTV and Snowmobile Trails. Open 7 days a week. Monday through Saturday, 11:00am to close. Been coming up to Rhinelander for the last 10 years (have a lakehouse here) and have driven past Town Pump EVERY time. Today we stopped and it did NOT disappoint! We had the duck wontons and the fish sandwich. Awesome! Our server was very attentive and great selection of bottled and canned beer. We’ll be back!

I’m very picky with my fish fries but I tell you what I was so impressed
I can see why this parking lot is always packed
First of all my fish was very good it wasn’t dripping with oil it wasn’t too much breading I had the haddock lightly breaded and it was perfect
I had hand cut fries and boy
To have hand cut that was special
In addition they had this deep fried bread
Very good soft inside
With a
Crispy outer crust.. excellent
There were many choices to sides including potato pancake potato salad fries and tater tots
Everybody enjoyed their meal
Are the service was very good
I didn’t take us very long to get our food I was very impressed with how quick it came out
the atmosphere is just very casual
Kind of like classic Northwoods
I would definitely recommend it

I tried the new buffalo turkey soup and it is fantastic. I come here a couple of times a week for lunch and always enjoy my time. The food is consistently good, and the staff and owner are warm, personable, and friendly. What really keeps me coming back is how welcome they make you feel. It truly feels like being part of the family.

Such a great place, even our daughters said they felt like they were in a homey, comfortable place for our late lunch. They got a kick out of all the fun, laid back details and stuff hanging around from the ceilings. Comfy chairs in the bar area, we sat right down and only had a short wait amongst the snowmobiling groups and friendly locals. Food was amazing, bartender/waitress was wonderful and sweet. We plan to stop in whenever we’re in the area!

because i am a huge burger lover, i had “The Classic Big Wally Burger” and was very pleased and impressed with this burger. i will be back for sure! i highly recommend this bar/grill not only for their food but because they play ROCK & ROLL!!! Thank You! The picture is a bowl of their Cincinnati Skyline chili. I tried it and highly recommend.
