2024 August, we called and placed order. Arrived, got in line inside. People arrived after me and few people were waiting. Some in line placed orders and had to wait. Since I placed order by phone prior to arriving, my food was ready when I arrived, asked for cake and the lady cashier gave me what I wanted. Food was good. Chicken tenders for children were very hard to bite, chew and cut with knife. Mac n cheese was not the best. One brisket cut was good and all other pieces had too much fat for me. Yams collard greens rice and gravy, baked beans and beef tips were good.
2022 October, I had to change the rating from 5 to 4 stars. Food is good but depending on what you order or pickup here, you may or may not be waiting for a long time, standing up and moving around in their store, so you can make way for many other people coming in that wants to get in line to order and pickup food. If you order something off of the menu, you may have to wait more than 30 minutes for them to call your order number. If you placed your order prior to arrival, you can get in line and let them know who you are and your order may be ready. If you come in and pickup dessert or some cold food out of the refrigerator, then you can get in line and leave immediately after paying for your food.
2022 August, A diamond in the ruff! If you made it here, you have struck gold! Really nice people and really good food here! Seems as though they have many repeat customers here. The potato salad, yams, baked beans, Mac n cheese, BBQ pulled pork dinner, corn bread were my favorites. We ordered 3 dinners which come with 2 sides per dinner and choice of bread (rolls, hush puppies or corn bread), so we were able to try most of the sides that were on the menu.

Great fried chicken and cornbread. The only problem is the only have one place to order your food, pay for it and then pick it up. Causes long line and your wait time can be 15 to 20 minutes .

Talk about small town friendly feel and service! Smiles, smiles smiles all day long. Walked in and the place was extremely busy but moved very efficiently. It smelled great, however I was only in there for some take away BBQ out of the fridge. Got home made up a couple of sandwiches and WOW! talk about a fantastic smoked pulled pork with just the exact amount of spice and flavor. This is my new place to get my BBQ from. I am eager to come back and try some items off the menu. It’s a Togo order only establishment, you can also call ahead of time before going. The fried chicken here these cooks put that foot in the batter and timing on that chicken wooo weeee it was on point! You haven’t had good fried chicken unless you’ve eaten Topside. Better getcha some! And those Cakes!! Delicious!!
Finally tried the fried chicken and it did not disappoint! I hadn’t chicken this fabulous since Farm Fresh grocery store closed. I’ve been looking for a runner up to Farm Fresh fried chicken and could never find chicken to compare, till today!! I dare to say it’s even better! Oh! And you most definitely try the cheesecake, it is devin!
Updated: over the last couple times I’ve gotten fried chicken, the breasts have been extremely dry.

This is the first time I have made it here. Folks have said I should try. After this I’ll be back food was very delicious and served hot and fresh.

Delicious southern cooking that never disappoints with friendly service. The BEST fried chicken!! And the desserts are to die for. There is no seating and it can get busy, especially close to closing time.

Every single page of food we have had from here has been great. The fried pork chops are always tender and juicy. The fried chicken is always a big hit here on the weekends. The grab and go cooler with fresh salads and ready meals is loaded with great fast options. If like us you like ranch dressing, grab a pint of fresh made in house dressing, I promise it’s good enough to eat with a spoon.

Maybe during the week their chicken is hot and fresh, but on Saturdays their chicken is cold and it seems as if it were cooked on Friday. Their other food is good. The fried fish and hush puppies are hot and cooked right then.
