Absolutely incredible! Lobster and Grits is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had! Plus a bit of nostalgia for remembering the building used to be a full service gas station that I visited often in my younger days

I was truly impressed which doesn’t happen often. I have a culinary background and the food and cocktails were absolutely amazing. Had a date night for my birthday and the ambience & service was everything! Really cool patio seating and lounge area as well. Will definitely be returning.

Food is beautifully presented and tastes amazing, with hearty portions. Even though we were full before we finished, we still ate anything off the plates because it was delicious. Service is speedy, polite, and helpful. Highly recommended.

Prior to tonight we have not been into Topsail in about 6 months and we have always enjoyed it. We made a reservation because they had always been super busy before. We arrived a little early but were seated immediately by a very nice hostess. They were not busy at all. We waited for a while and the hostess returned and poured us water and said that our waitress would be over soon. After waiting a bit longer the waitress came over and said that she had just been given another table. You could tell that despite the restaurant not being busy she was spread a little thin. We started with a small Caesar salad that was big enough for us to share sadly it was very bland. Upon the salad being delivered and taking our entree orders the waitress said she was going to bring hush puppies. The hush puppies never arrived, which was fine because we really didn’t need them but….. My wife ordered the salmon and subbed the garlic mashed potatoes for the rice. When her entree arrived the mashed potatoes were cold and they were not lying when they call them garlic because it was overwhelming and I like garlic. The salmon was cooked appropriately but was also overwhelmingly garlicky. I ordered the lobster grits. When it arrived it was a very pretty dish and I enjoyed it but it wasn’t anything special. Midway through the meal the waitress asked if wanted a refill of my tea and said yes please. Meanwhile my wife’s glass was empty but the waitress did not offer to refill hers. The check was $96 which we clearly expected but in hindsight I don’t believe it was worth what we paid. I’m not sure that we will return.

While visiting Mount Pleasant on business, I visited this restaurant on a recommendation by the hotel. This establishment has a comfortable feel, just small enough to be cozy without feeling cramped. The menu is seafood focused but does offer options for those not so inclined. Service was professional and adequately attentive. I selected the Asian Tuna, only to be told that it was unavailable. Disappointed, I chose the Branzino, a whole fish offering. The fish was nicely prepared and tasty as well. However, I was reminded that I really do not care for the whole fish experience. The crispy Brussels Sprouts accompanying the fish were very good. This is a nice spot for a dining night out and complements the local dining options.

First visit was just ok. The she crab soup was good, full of crab low on the lowcountry flavor that I’m used to. The seafood deviled eggs were good as well. Husband got the Shrimp and Grits, the tasso gravy was good. Shrimps large. Grits could have been thicker as the gravy consumed the grits. My son had the shrimp dinner. The shrimps were huge!!! They were fried and cooked to perfection, no complaints there. I had the seafood platter. It was enjoyable, I liked the jasmine rice and the sauce that accompanied it. The hush puppies, I’ve had better. There is no kids meals here just an FYI. And if paying with a debit card or credit card there is a surcharge. I would return in the distant future but would mainly come for the drinks and the appetizers.
