We had a wonderful late breakfast at Toodies Cafe. I loved the midcentury American authentic decor and the local art with wide windows and a lot of light. The food was excellent- what I wish all local cafes would be. Homemade strawberry jam, a local roasted coffee, homemade biscuits, delicious hollandaise, and the fluffiest poached eggs I’ve ever had. The menu was great but simple. They do what they do well. Our waitress was lovely and personable.

A great place to grab breakfast if you are in town. The staff was very friendly and we were sat right down. The jellies on the table were great but I will let you guess the flavors like we did. The food came out fast and was delicious.

Really loved this restaurant. From beginning to end, great experience. Friendly service. Great coffee with cream that didn’t come from those tiny little single serving cups. Got an omelette, pictured with this review. The sourdough toast tasted like sourdough, one would expect this but lots of catfishin’ with names, don’t always get what one is led to expect. The omelette, as should be expected, was the star. Very fluffy, tasty sausage, cheese, and peppers. I did add hot sauce. The hash browns were crunchy and savory, ketchup would have spoiled the taste and generally best used to cover up poor quality. The food I tried certainly didn’t need masking.

Very long wait and no they where not busy no clue why we and the others behind us had to wait so long to get the waitress to seat us. Did not like how I was called a liar about my credit card. She double charged. And I was correct!!! Took forever to get my money back. She charged double the price and gave herself a huge tip. When we left cash on the table of 14. And some changes it came to 51.23. Not the best tip not the best service from the waitress had to ask several times for coffee and again not busy!!! This was a Saturday!! I had to wait till Tuesday to talk to the manager cause they where closed till then, to prove I was correct I’m not a liar about my money. Then I had to wait till Thursday to get the 110.32 back. Yes he gave me back his full amount which was great but I did not and should not have waited that long for my money. When I told the waitress and she would not let me talk to someone about the matter at the time. Again they where not busy!! Food was great. It was the waitress

Service was a bit different. Waitress seemed like she has never waited tables before. She wasn’t rude or bad, but just like she didn’t know what she was doing. Food was just ok. No white bread, and no normal jelly. I found this a bit odd. I ordered biscuits and gravy, and the biscuits were super dense and flowery tasting. Gravy wasn’t bad but a bit too salty. With a bit of attention to detail and fit and finish this place wouldn’t be half bad.

Delicious food, friendly staff and a really good cup of coffee. The ambiance is exactly what you want in a little cafe. And even the jam on the table is made in-house. I really enjoyed my breakfast and will be back.

I have been there twice for breakfast and both times the meal was incredible! Also – you don’t often get a really good cup of coffee in small town Montana, Toodie’s coffee is fantastic.
