We stopped by a few years ago and it wasnt memorable. All we remembered was the bread pudding. This time was WAY better. We went for dinner. Seated quickly, waiter came immediately to ask if we wanted drinks or appetizers. I had the Chile Verde Ribeye which was delicious!! Cooked to perfection! If you like Mexican food – I highly recommend. My husband had the Three Cheese Stuffed Chicken which he also enjoyed. The service and food were excellent. Will be coming by more frequently.

t’s been years since we last came to Tommy’s because of a bad experience, but I thought maybe things had changed and it was worth another try. My son was in town with his new girlfriend, so we made reservations for 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. We arrived at 5:50, were promptly seated—and immediately told they were out of menus. The restaurant was only about a quarter full, which made it odd that they didn’t even have enough menus available.
They sat us in the back section, which was noticeably hotter than the front dining room (which was only about half full). We were tucked into a corner by the windows where the heat was radiating in. Not ideal, but I thought once we got drinks it would be fine. After finally getting two menus to share between four of us, we decided what we wanted to order.
Then we waited. And waited. For 20 minutes, no server came by—no water, no drink order, nothing. Meanwhile, the waitress covering the back did check on the table right next to us, glanced our way, and then went back to the front of the restaurant without saying a word. At that point, it was clear we weren’t going to get any service.
This would have easily been a $250–$300 dinner with drinks, but I expect much better service for that kind of spend. Instead, we walked out, told the hostess we were leaving due to lack of service, and went to Bravo Farms down the street—where we had an excellent dinner.
It’s a shame, because Tommy’s has a decent reputation in town and I was looking forward to some of the entrées. But after this experience, this may be the last time we try Tommy’s. There are other restaurants in Visalia that not only serve good food but also treat their guests much better.

The food is really good and so is the atmosphere.It’s just the whole experience was brought down because our server was spread thin. She clearly had more tables than she could handle. Spent forever waiting for payment,boxes, bread, and a water refill. Really brought down the mood. We only saw here 3 times basically. We get better service at Dennys . I definitely won’t come back for the service. Maybe I’ll just order ToGo, but it’s not worth it to sit there and be passed up when you need water. Considering it was my first time it wasn’t a stellar impression

This place is a great choice for a nice dinner. The fine dining set up is perfect for a date night or a special occasion. They also have a casual bar. The food was delicious! For appetizers we had the mussels and stuffed mushrooms, for dinner I had the stuffed chicken in a pepper cream sauce with mashed potatoes. The food was all so delicious but we had almost a 40 min wait for the food. Server was very kind and professional. Entrees are around $32 and up.

I recently dined at Tommy’s Restaurant and had a good experience. The food was satisfying enough for a casual meal. The decor of the restaurant was quite nice, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere that made for an enjoyable dining environment.
One standout from the visit was our server, who was very friendly and attentive. They provided good information about the menu and made helpful recommendations, enhancing our overall experience at the restaurant.
The ambiance and excellent service make Tommy’s a place worth considering for a steak dinner.

Service was outstanding. Started with the Lobster bites, stuffed mushrooms and lobster Mac and cheese. I couldn’t pick a favorite. All of them were so good! I had the meatloaf. The flavor was incredible. Finished with the smores dessert. The presentation was fun! Great dinner.

I ended up going off menu for a change and ordered the halibut. It was just ok. I wasn’t a huge fan of the sweet potato puree it came with. They are known for their steaks so I sampled my party’s steaks and they were all good! The prime rib was juicy and cooked perfectly. The grilled rib eye was also phenomenal, as well as the 3 cheese stuffed chicken. Next time I’ll stick to steak

When we arrived, we realized we hadn’t requested the projector in advance. Thankfully, our server, Ms. Sydney, stepped in and went above and beyond to help us get it set up. Her professionalism and kindness truly made the evening special. Highly recommend Tommy’s for both the food and the exceptional service!

Wow. Wow. Wow. Their food was amazing. Calamari was crispy and delicious. Chicken taco is a must try and had a hint a nice spicy sauce! Buffalo chicken wings were delicious with a hint of spicy, not too sour like most Buffalo sauce, just the way I like it. The salad was delicious, sweet, and complimented the blue cheese well!!!! The filet mignon wrapped with bacon topped with scampi and mashed potatoes were a 10/10. I’m not a big fan of filet mignon, but this place made me like filet mignon even more now. Every bite melted in your mouth, and the mash potatoes complimented well. Quality and quantity Q/Q.
