A pretty good pizza place with several different styles of pizza available, all of which are pretty decent. The Sicilian is the way I’d do go if you have the choice, it’s a style that’s hard to find and tastier than their New York style, though both are good.

Best pizza. The crust is so crisp and chewy. The sauce is savory and slightly tart. Expensive, but you get what you pay for. Tastes great even the second day if you microwave a slice for 30 seconds, then toast/air fry for 4 minutes until crisp.

As a New Yorker living in LA, I’m always on the hunt for good NYC style Pizza. This place is it! Tomato Pie Pizza Joint in South Pasadena is amazing! We got a Pepperoni, Mac n Cheese, and Syracuse Hot Wing slice! All we’re delicious and I can confirm that are definitely NYC status for pizza! The people that work there are very nice and I’ll definitely keep coming back! This place has me locked in!

The tomato pie is very authentic and very good compared to the real deal jersey tomato pies. But the other slices are just ok. Definitely try the tomato pie.

Great pizza. Got the Butcher pizza. Really good. But pricier than your average pizza place but I think it’s worth it. Got the hot wings but those were whatevs. Overall great pizza pies but you can skip the sides. Street parking and a small lot on the side.

I would give 6 stars if i could. This place has the best pizza I have had in the pasadena area. I had the meat lovers pizza. so good. tastes like good east coast pizza. The employees are really friendly and the place is clean as it gets. Will definitely be back when I am in the area.

I would say this place is more like a 4.3 maybe a 4.4. I come here every so often for pizza and the pizzas mostly decently good, you know? I mean it’s not the thin crusted thin style that I sometimes like to eat but it’s more like the style I had when I was a kid. They have a couple tables in the back where you can eat if you feel so inclined; I like to go there towards dusk when the heat is down and or the sun is not shining so brightly. The only real issue I have with this place are the wings. I don’t know what they do to them, but I’m just going to say it and this is the way I see it; namely, that they are fatty and there is little to no crust on the chicken itself. Let me explain, it’s as if they’re microwaving the wings. Maybe they’re not, but I’ve eaten their wings multiple times, and they’re always…well, there’s a deep fry coat on it but it’s soggy not crisp in any way at all. I don’t understand if they’re actually making them fresh or they’re actually cooking them, how they get like that, so that leaves microwaving. Like I said, I don’t know that they do microwave them, but let’s just say I don’t recommend the wings. The staff are what you’d expect in a place like this, you know; not rude, they just want to get your order out to you. Eat there, the pizza is good, thick crusted, salty meat and the tables have choke napkins on the tables to use. Try the wings even, if just to make your own conclusions.

This is a great neighborhood pizzeria. They’re pretty consistent in the taste and quality of their food. It is pricier than the chains but so worth it as it doesn’t leave you feeling queazy or bloated after. They also sell slices, sandwiches, & calzones which are also tasty. There’s a Silver Lake location as well but the parking situation is atrocious.

Slow down you could drive right by it. Shotgun building next to parking lot. Great service inside. I ordered to go, had a beer while I waited. The helpful team made me want to come back. I wish I had found it sooner!
