We were seated quickly as we had reservations. My husband and son had the cheesy dough bois for an appetizer and I ordered the lobster filled mushroom caps. The appetizers were delivered quickly and were piping hot from the oven. Great way to start! Then my son had lasagna, my husband the house spaghetti, and I had the fisherman’s platter with skewered shrimp, coconut shrimp, pan seared haddock served with potatoes and steamed vegetables. All very tasty. We enjoyed our delicious meal. Servers were very attentive.

A lovely place to come to , nice atmosphere, a nice view over the Trent river, and a great meal. We had the calamari appetizer which had a nice light breading and flavor. For our main course we enjoyed the steak matador special and the souvlaki. The Sandbanks Baco nior went well with the food. For dessert we enjoyed the apple crisp and peanut butter cheesecake. The wait staff were friendly and helpful and we shared our delight with the owners after our meal.

Good food and excellent service. We tried nearly six dishes, and each one was well prepared and flavorful. Mr. Rich, who served us, deserves special appreciation for his professionalism and in-depth knowledge of the menu. He was patient and took the time to explain the dishes to us, as we were first-time visitors, even though it was close to closing time. Outstanding work by the entire team — we will certainly be returning.

Everything here was fantastic! I have only been here twice, but both times were great in every aspect. The food was delicious, super fresh and a very large serving which you normally don’t see too often these days. It came out fairly quickly, especially since they seemed somewhat busy. The service, both times, was superb. The servers were informative, friendly, fast and precise. We did have one issue, but it was fixed promptly and at no charge. It was slightly above average price nowadays, but considering the quality and quantity of the food, it was well worth it. The atmosphere was wonderful. It had a warm and inviting atmosphere despite the hustle and bustle of the restaurant and the view of the river was beautiful. I recommend this place and can’t wait to visit again!

As I write this, my fiancé is lying down in the booth across from me. Why? Because, in his words, the apple crisp dessert is “the greatest mouth pleasure on earth”. He is in a pleasure coma. As he says, he had “won flavour”. Nothing will top it. This is not the first time he’s had it. It’s his favourite part of coming here. He always melts after that first bite and then spends the rest of the plate poetically describing the flavours and textures, lamenting he didn’t discover this incredible dessert sooner. It’s adorable and I love watching him enjoy it.
If that isn’t enough to convince you, the rest of the food is beyond delicious. The pasta, the pizza, the bread, the marinara… The service is always fantastic and they’re wonderfully accommodating to my aversion to dairy. We love it here. One of our favourite date spots. Can’t recommend it enough.

I feel terrible for not getting any food photos because we ate the food before I even got a chance to – hungry folks and good company! Visited this place with family who come here often. It was a party of four and we shared two Cesar salads, one calamari and one large house special pizza. Which was I guess what one may say is “all dressed” and it was fantastic. With really a generous amount of toppings, cooked to perfection. The salad dressing is wonderful and the calamari was a great small share for the table. It’s a beautiful restaurant and has a great patio. Our server was very friendly and informative while also being efficient, which we appreciated. Even the host and support staff were friendly as we left. The only photo I got was this because it’s an excellent commitment to service and I think this restaurant was all these things they endeavour to be. I would say they are memorable because they were spoken so highly of by people we trust and know good food. If you are in Trenton stop by here and have dinner. You will probably really like it.

I have been going to this establishment for celebrations, dates and casual dining since 2013. The food is amazing, always consistent in flavour and portion size. Made in house, everything tastes authentic. The service is always impressive and if you get the chance to meet one of the owners they are very kind and always thankful for your business. We had an incredible experience at Tomasso on Saturday evening while celebrating my birthday. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated at a table with a beautiful view. Our server, Chris, was exceptional—professional, attentive, and made us feel truly special.
