*update. This place isn’t very convenient for me but I still go there once every few months and the quality and service never change! The food is still great, but on top of that, they always have such great customer service and are so humble. That’s why I go out of my way to come here instead of going somewhere closer to me. Fast and friendly service. The cooks are friendly and nice unlike some other mall Japanese places. No more $6-7 special, but prices are fair and portions are huge. I tried bubble tea here for the first time and it was fantastic. I pretty much eat here anytime I am at the mall.

I come here almost everyday for lunch. Food is so amazing and the staff is the most friendly I’ve ever met. I’ve been here probably 100 times and never once have I had an issue. I so recommend eating here if you can. Also try the peach boba tea it is AMAZING!!!

My boyfriend and I both ate at the Meriden mall earlier today and got the teriyaki chicken with broccoli and yellow rice. I wasn’t that hungry so I didn’t eat much, unfortunately for him he ate a lot! My stomach has been going crazy rumbling like WWE inside my body! Today I went to Tokyo Express located in the food court at Meriden Mall. I ordered a sushi Rainbow roll, fried shrimp and a Gatorade. The Rainbow roll barely has any sushi on it and the entire bottom half was just rice! It looked somewhat skimpy on the roll before I started to eat it, but when I discovered they didn’t put any sushi on the entire bottom of the roll I felt deceived. The worst part was while drinking my Gatorade I felt something slimey in mouth only to find a bunch of what appeared to be white mold in the bottom of the Gatorade bottle which had long expired. When I returned to Tokyo Express to show them the mold and all they did was return $2.75 back to me for a lunch which cost $16.00. I would avoid this establishment if I were you.

Yes, it’s food served in a mall but it’s a definite step up from mall food. Teriyaki salmon Bento box is great. The salmon is grilled to order & can’t be beat for the price.
