Taco Cantina in Glen Cove is a great spot that I’ve been to a few times now, and it has been consistently excellent. The food is amazing, the prices are very good, and the staff are always great to deal with. The place also feels clean, new, and well kept, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Food: food was ok. We got the fajita combo for two. Shrimp was delicious. Chicken Dry. Steak had no seasoning. For $50 this plate should come with rice like other Mexican/texmex restaurants offering fajita combos with rice/beans.
We got like 4 pieces of steak and 4-5 of chicken and 4 shrimps. Kids like their quesadilla. Drinks were really good. Mojitos and lemonades.

Tocolo in Glen Cove is an absolute gem! I stopped in for their $19 express lunch and was blown away by both the quality and convenience. It’s great for a quick dine-in or takeout. The meal started with fresh warm chips served with flavorful salsa and creamy guacamole that tasted homemade. I chose the steak tacos for my main, and they were perfectly seasoned and tender, paired with double rice that was fluffy and full of flavor. Everything came out quickly but still felt freshly made. The service was friendly and attentive. The modern, relaxed atmosphere made it easy to unwind even during a busy day. Tocolo will definitely my new go-to lunch spot in Glen Cove!

Excellent food. The chicken wings!!!!! The frozen margaritas! OMG the tres leches cake! And our server Phoebe was so accommodating so easy and relaxed and on the ball.. she reminded us just as happy hour was ending to order any more drinks if we want. We all turn to each other ‘THAT’S a good sever.

The food was amazing! Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Very aware of gluten free as we had two people with celiacs. Our server Phebe was an absolute joy very up beat and accommodating. Will definitely be going back!

Phebe is an AMAZING waitress!!! Seriously made our whole night at Tócolo Cantina. Super friendly, attentive without hovering, and gave the best recommendations. She always has such great energy and makes us feel so welcome. Service was on point from start to finish (as always) ask for Phebe if you come here!!

Not a bad experience, the food left something to be desired.
Overall the restaurant is nicely appointed and the service was very good. My water glass was never empty which I always appreciate and the food came out quick.
My wife and I each got 2 different flavored house margs. They were all good, the first round we got with salt rims but the salt was on very heavily which forced us to use the straw. Would recommend it be salted slightly less.
Octopus was a touch chewy, but the flavor with chimichurri and salad was good. Guacamole was fine, not necessarily worth $15. Love that they give (warm) chips and salsa which was good.
We did a taco platter with:
Birria w/cheese – Best taco and food item by far.
Baja fish – I had 1 bite and couldn’t finish (I eat everything normally and like fish tacos). The taste was off and the large piece of fish wasn’t good in my opinion.
Carne asada – Also good, would recommend.
Carnitas – really good taste, but light amount of carnitas.
Our friends said they had a really good lunch here and we didn’t have a bad experience. I think it’s worth trying and expect others to have a more enjoyable experience than I did. I wouldn’t choose to go back, but if friends asked to I would, especially for a drink and a couple tacos or apps.

This was our first time there. We were greeted immediately. Warm chips and salsa were placed on our table within minutes. We didn’t have cocktails we had wine instead. Appetizer, The Tortilla soup was delicious and extremely filling. The chicken was tender. Entrees, we have a Steak Fajita, Chicken Burrito wrap and a Chicken Burrito bowl. The food was delicious and Richard our waiter was excellent. The place is clean. The bathroom was clean. The atmosphere was really nice and there is an outdoor eating area. I would recommend this establishment and I hope they do well and stay in Glen Cove.
