Very beautiful place but as most things that are beautiful they are nothing but lies. I got the guiltless burrito with shrimp ($19) which was very good. The salsa that came with it was not very spicy and added a very nice flavor to the burrito. There was nothing really special about it though which is why I would give it a 7/10. I would not drive out of my way to get food here personally but since I’m in the area every now and then I might stop by.

Hands down my favorite tacos in LB ….. I have been eating at Tocaya since the first location opened in Venice Beach…& then Santa Monica too! Was so happy to see them come to LB- Very fresh food! So flavorful, and reasonably priced!! I have had so many different meals there, and have never been disappointed. If you are vegetarian or vegan, try the tierra mushroom tacos!!! Seriously one of the best tacos I have ever had. Period. Highly recommend you check them out-

So we wanted to see what all the fuss was about the Tocaya Modern Mexican Restaurant that opened up in the 2nd & PCH complex of Long Beach 90803. I have now gone back several times. They have delicious food there – extremely tasty. Some of my favorites are the tacos – I go with the chef recommendation, street corn & bowl. They offer great specials on Taco Tuesday. The drinks they have are also very tasty. Clean environment and friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

My son is allergic to nuts. Tocaya claims they have no nuts in their food, particularly cashews, pistachios, and macadamia nuts. He had the Mexican burrito and street corn for dinner. 30 minutes later, he throws up all his food.

We ate at Tocaya for dinner this evening and it was a fabulous experience! The service was exceptional, and the food was fresh and flavorful. I got a fajita burrito with vegan chicken and it was MASSIVE. My husband got the taco, side, margarita combo which was a great deal. The restaurant was clean and adorable inside. We would definitely dine here again.

I’ve had this same meal to go, and it was just as fabulous as when I ordered it in person. This is the side of corn and the Tocaya Salad sans jalapenos. I like how you can customize your proteins and toppings. I actually added a protein and then poured the corn on top. It’s a hefty salad that’s very filling and delicious on a hot summer day along with the cucumber mint agua fresca. Next time I’d like to try the vegan queso and chips, which looked very good. My husband enjoyed his vegetarian quesadilla, and his passionfruit margarita was something I think I could easily drink two or three of. Go get some asap. You won’t be disappointed.
