Very unassuming place with outstanding brunch food. Got a crab hash Benedict with potatoes that are just fried to perfection which really is so simple but difficult to execute. My dad got an omelette, also done well. cappuccino was fine, not spectacular but no complaints. Overall will come back here and hoping their other locations are just as good

Holidays and brunch — what a perfect combination!

After a heavy Christmas meal, the last thing you want to do is cook again. At the same time, there’s no real mood for a full lunch either. Brunch fits perfectly.

We found this spot in Montclair, and it has a very laid-back vibe. The restaurant has two levels of seating, and at first glance, it gives off a vintage, almost mountain-side restaurant feel.

Since we were with a baby, we chose to sit on the first level.

About the booth seating — maybe it was just me, but getting into the booth felt a bit tight. The table was so close it almost felt like it was touching my chest.

Food-wise, they have some really good breakfast options, and I was honestly confused about what to order. In such situations, I usually ask the server or check Google for best sellers.

I went with the Southwest Breakfast Bowl, which comes with grilled potatoes, corn, avocado, egg, mayonnaise, and cheese. It was really good, and I ended up craving more, but hey, it was brunch, not lunch, hahhaa

My wife went with the Signature Pancake Flight, which turned out to be a great choice. It’s a nice option if you want to taste different flavors. The pancakes were small, fluffy, and tasted amazing — no syrup needed at all!

I tried their drink: Unicorn tears: its milk-based drink with some syrup. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Portion size was just right. Enough to satisfy your hunger, but not the oversized, heavy portions you get at some chain restaurants.

Service was good as well. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

Lovely spot for brunch. The food was delicious. The buttermilk pancakes were kind of disappointing, they were fluffy and fresh but lacked flavor. The corned beef and potatoes were not great. Everything else was delicious. I would definitely go back to try other menu items

Absolutely wonderful breakfast spot! We drove 90 minutes from the Poconos because of all the great things we heard about this place. It did not disappoint.
Amy & her staff have created a wonderful brunch location. Ambiance, food, cleanliness and a wonderfully helpful & cheerful waitstaff get 5 stars. Well done!

Got here around 9am & Breakfast was absolutely yummy! Well flavored and came out pretty quickly. Parking is not great in the area but thankfully the Whole Foods lot is across the street. The ambiance is cozy, the staff was friendly & by the time we were leaving the line started to form. Keep in mind, this is Montclair so this spot is on the pricier side.

We ordered the smoked salmon omelette with sweet potato fries, a waffle with side of egg whites & cheddar, avocado & Canadian bacon & two large orange juices. Our order came to about $68. When the same order at sayyy Chit chat diner, with the same great taste, would be half the price

As of 10/8/23 still super tasty but pricey. Parking is tough so the Whole Foods parking lot is your best bet. The wait can also be long so def expect that.

Annual girls trip, we chose New Jersey, not familiar with the area we googled minority owned testaurant and Toast Montclair popped up. We drove 45 minutes from our location in NJ and when we arrived, were met with a very diverse, warm, welcoming, and professional staff and clientele, music and foods!! If you have not been, you MUST visit.

Came for Brunch on a Sunday, wait was not long- about 20 minutes. Although there are two floors, dining space is a little tight but the food is bomb. Breakfast sandwich was huge and the Lemon poppy seed pancakes were better than expected. Service was good too. I will be coming back for sure.

Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! We shared the banana fosters French toast and loaded potato scramble with home fries and toast. The staff was friendly, atmosphere charming and selections all appetizing. We went on Sunday morning around 9am. There was no wait. Quickly sat and was greeted by our waitress who told us the specials and took our drink order. She promptly got our drinks and took our food order. We were so happy with our choices. My husband and I had the biggest food smiles and placed to go orders for later. Don’t miss out on this wonderful place.

Toasts off we es all the traditional breakfast foods that one would expect. Their portions are rather larger which allows you to indulge or take some to go.

Overall, really good option for breakfast or brunch and they have something for just about every palate.
