Two of our group ordered medium burgers, on of which was to have grilled mushrooms which were raw. House chardonnay was good, but served at room temperature. Italian chicken and shrimp scampi were great.

TJ’s Roadhouse is a great meal option in Nevada City! They have a large menu with many delicious choices. I’ve been there several times for breakfast now, and it has always been really good. Biscuits and gravy are wonderful with lots of herbs for seasoning, Their Hollandaise sauce is really delicious. Omelettes, pancakes, scrambles, sandwiches, burgers, pizza. Good, friendly service too!

The atmosphere was clean and cool. We were seated downstairs and the whole time we were there waitresses not once acknowledged us. My wife had to approach them to request service. After that we still did not receive service. Wow! We decided to leave. It didn’t look like too many other customers had any smiles either. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Food and service were a big “0” because we didn’t receive either.

I got charged $2 for extra lettuce and $2 for extra mayonnaise. I didn’t get extra lettuce and got no mayonnaise when my food was brought to me. The waitress handled the reimbursement okay and apologized for not noticing it on the bill but I do find it odd that that’s even in the system like that and she didn’t offer to reimburse it, I told her I wasn’t okay with it and asked for it then she moved forward with the reimbursement process. Saying in case this helps others moving forward to watch for oddly overpriced charges like this. Even though I got charged the $2 for extra mayo, I never got it with the order, I had to ask for some. I don’t recommend the burger, it was on the bland side.

Food was good, service was a bit slow but they were nice. The flies on the outside seating area were terrible. Had to keep swatting them away from our food. I will go back, but sitting inside next time.

We had a very nice meal tonight. My husband had soup and salad. The soup was excellent, great flavor. My chefs salad was so good, perfect with avocado. Their iced tea is brewed perfectly. Looking forward to ordering a pizza. They have many sauces to choose from.
