4 stars is about right.Seems detached from authentic Mexican food, but still good. Not excited to go back.

The good: they let you switch sides instead of doing beans and rice every time at other Mexican restaurants.

The bad: The $20 chimichanga doesn’t come with any queso, sauce, mole, anything on it so it’s very dry and the chicken, pork, and beef are VERY overcooked. Very! You can smother it in Cholula, but my wife and kids don’t really like hot sauce. Normally chimichangas are ‘wetted’ with some kind of salsa or sauce. Did I mention it was dry and overcooked meat? The chips are obviously store bought, but the salsa is surprisingly good.

The ugly: no happy hour!

The food and more importantly the service was outstanding, the waitress that waited on me was Jackie. She was so respectful, very polite, outgoing and so demure. I had no problem with my food or service at all, the meals came out on time and no issues at all. Give Jackie a raise. She deserves it. Keep up the good work!! I’ll be stopping here very often!

Tito’s Cantina is hands-down the best Mexican food in Middletown! We started off with the chips and salsa, let me tell you, this salsa had so much flavor. Definitely 100X better than Chilis! The jalapeño poppers were our next stop and honestly, I didn’t know how I’d feel at first because they’re fried. HOWEVER, they were legit delicious. Finally, I got the Tamales and holy crap, they were like my neighbor, Lorena’s! Incredible. So much meat, so much flavor. 10/10 will always support this business !

Without fail, we go to Tito’s every time we visit Newport fir the last 12 years. I’ve never had a bad meal here! Even this last time, with 8 of us, everyone’s meal was perfect! I love their salsa and chips when we first arive. I don’t know what they do to the salsa but it’s definitely in my top 3 favorite.

We had the best experience at Tito’s Middletown! Our bartender and server Mia was absolutely incredible. She was so friendly, attentive, and just a joy to be around. The food was amazing, especially the chips and salsa, which were the most delicious I’ve ever had. The drinks were perfect too, each one better than the last. Mia even let us watch Twilight on the small TV by the bar, which made the night extra fun and memorable. Couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Thank you, Mia, for making it such a great time! We will absolutely be back!!

One of my favorite stops on the island. We usually travel 25+ mins to get here. Best fresh salsa, I always gotta get a container to go and the margaritas are my absolute favorite.

What an amazing place! The jalapeño poppers are my go to appetizer and the main dishes are always amazing. Tito’s Cantina is a great place to go to! If you’re a vegetarian don’t worry, there are plenty of options to choose from!
The atmosphere is always great, the staff is very welcoming and accommodating.
10/10 will always come back!

If you’ve been to one Mexican restaurant you’ve been to them all. Food and margs were good but nothing mind blowing. Very understaffed I felt bad for the sole bartender, she was great but obviously service would be better with more employees.

DON’T STOP HERE!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT… I went here a year ago and it was good food nice employees. I would rate them 4 star a year ago. Now i give them a 1 star which is being nice. Very very rude waitress. Never offered desert, food was horrible. The waitress came back to my table multiple times to ask how we wanted our food and after getting it never came back to ask if we were all set or how it was. A lot of the food was canned food like the beans. Their so called house margarita tasted like cheap premixed margarita that you buy in the store. Food tasted like it was sitting out for awhile and very dry. Flies flying around near food and tables. Tables, floor and menus very sticky and food left on them. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE. THEY JUST LIST A CUSTOMER.
