I was very impressed with this small local family-style Italian restaurant. Jen was bright and cheerful, and did a great job of guiding us through the menu and pointing out specialties. I had the penne pasta with Italian sausage, and my wife had the lasagna. Both were really good. Salad comes with your meal, and their homemade house dressing is my new favorite salad dressing! I look forward to trying their pizza. They also have outside seating. I haven’t gone to brunch on Sunday, but their menu looks great and the prices are extremely reasonable. Recommended!

Made reservations for Valentine’s Day. The food and atmosphere were wonderful. The piano player was great! The staff was overwhelmed by the higher volume of people, but they did a damn good job! It was a shame to see other customers being rude to the staff when picking up their carryout pizzas and complaining or being upset at a long wait to be seated when they didn’t make a reservation . (reservations were recommended. It’s one of the busiest date nights of the year they should know better). Highly recommend the spinach, artichoke dip. Thank you to the staff for making it an enjoyable evening!

We have been ordering the French dip sandwiches for a few years now and this last time it was so burnt we could barely eat it. They changed the way they are made. There was a slight miscommunication on the phone when I placed the order about sauces. When I got home I noticed the au jus sauce was missing. I drove back up there and asked very nicely for it and instead of just grabbing some she was rude about stating that I didn’t order any. I don’t understand the point of argumentative, mean girl energy. I was polite and drove all the way back….i understand things happen so I wasn’t upset but then I noticed my sandwich and fries were beyond burnt. I’ll attach a picture but the fries were completely inedible. Disappointed.

We had the red pepper Gouda soup which was so amazing we poured it on the spinach artichoke dip which made it FiReEe. Also, we had the blue crab ravioli which was amazing.

Came here for the first time, early on a Friday evening. There were Mixed guest reviews, but we decided to try it out. The small bar was full, so we waited outside on one of the benches. Hostesses were friendly and when we were sat at our table, we had to wait approximately 15 min., for our server. Understandably, it was busy. It’s a small restaurant and seems many locals gather here, which is great. We sat by the side door that leads to the outside patio smoking area, but with the door opening constantly, it made it extremely warm, and there were quite a few flies around. We aren’t picky, or complainers, but did let our server know our Bruschetta was burnt….no attempt made by him to make it right, and we were charged for it. Caesar side salad was small. Lasagna was pretty runny, with only 1 layer of noodle. And we were brought the wrong pie. We finally asked another server if we could have the correct kind. We also caught an overcharge on our ticket $24., for 2 glasses of wine that we didn’t order. The Meiomi was the best part of our dinner…Maybe our server & Chef were having an off night.

Siri is good and the people are nice. You’ve got to try the chicken Parmesan I go here maybe three times a week and I have been for the last year and I’m always impressed by the service and the fifth. I like to support businesses like this where they’re still a family five and you know you can tell it’s not just a lifeless corporate chain like there are so many of them in this country. We don’t get to have any variety entered in this country simply all we have is just a bunch of restaurants. It’s just heat up stuff from the freezer and then charge you 15 times the price you can make it at home. This place is different. You can tell if the food is made with care. This review is just to let you know how good it was. And I would come back here. I would recommend trying this place if you have it before I also like lasagna it is good. It is scrumptious I have in the past had other things like the garlic rolls. Those are also really good. I try those every time I get something here. I always ask for extra sauce and they never have a problem giving it. I hope they see this and keep up the good work.

Absolutely — here’s a polished, honest, and pointed review that stays factual and fair, while clearly explaining the disappointment (and giving credit where it’s due):

It was nice to walk in and see and hear the piano player, which created a welcoming first impression. Unfortunately, from there things went downhill.

The dining area was overly bright, which took away from any sense of atmosphere or comfort. The service, however, was excellent — our server truly did her best and deserves recognition for her professionalism.

The food was absolutely disgusting. The “veal piccata” arrived as round slabs of heavily breaded mystery meat, completely doused in oil and lacking any resemblance to veal in either texture or flavor. Even the pasta, which should be a basic strength, was badly cooked and unpleasant.

Between the poor execution and overall quality of the food, this was easily the worst restaurant meal I’ve ever been served. A beautiful piano and attentive service can’t make up for food that is simply inedible.

Niceville deserves better.

Arrived at 11:20am. Heard someone call out that we could sit anywhere. Server brought out a brunch menu which was mostly breakfast items. We didn’t want breakfast items so we decided to go elsewhere, then the server said “well, I’ll let you order lunch this time but ‘they’ want us to push brunch on Sundays.” I ordered onion rings as appetizer and server said they only do those for ‘add on’s’ because if they offered them all the time they would sell out. I mentioned that it was listed on the menu as an appetizer. She said that new owners had changed menus and not told her, so she’d let us get those as an appetizer. Server and bartender very busy talking in the back, so I had to get my own ketchup. She brought me another ketchup a few minutes later and said it was a ‘backup.’ Didn’t understand that at all. Onion rings were very good. My burger was very good. Fries were not good at all. They had the best fries in town for as long as I can remember, but not any longer. My MIL got chicken and waffles, waffles were burned on one side of each. My wife got fish and chips, fish was overcooked and greasy. Ordered unsweet tea, which was very bitter. I went back up to counter to tell her about the tea and get sodas instead, the bartender said “oh, I haven’t finished the tea” and then put down her phone. She told our server that the tea still needed to have water added…it was now almost 12pm. We stuck with the sodas. Our server had to leave and go to the grocery store to get things they were out of, but the bartender checked on us and cashed us out. Overall, not nearly as good food or service that we’ve received in the past, but it’s been a couple months since we’ve eaten there, and I’m not sure if it was under old or new ownership last time. Server was very polite, just not very attentive to customers. We’re local and have enjoyed eating at Tisano’s in the past, even went after church on Sundays regularly during the Spring and Summer, but I think we’ll wait some time before going there again. Hopefully the new owners can get the food & service back to being a great experience for customers

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It took us 3 attempts to ask our waitress for breadsticks before we got them. We’re not impatient people either but the 3rd time we asked for the breadsticks the waitress’ attitude was like we were so rude for asking. I ordered a salad with bleu cheese dressing which wasn’t bad and the bleu cheese dressing was homemade(this will be important) for my main dish I went with the classic Italian-American staple “spaghetti and meatballs” the spaghetti was overcooked mush and the meatballs were clearly from a frozen bag of meatballs. You mean to tell me at an ITALIAN RESTAURANT you’re making homemade bleu cheese but using frozen meatballs? This place is a disgrace to Italian food and deserves to go out of business. I feel like whoever runs this place has never eaten Italian food in their life. I would encourage others to stop patronizing this disgrace of a restaurant and let it go down in flames like it deserves. Pathetic. You got homemade bleu cheese dressing but you’re using frozen meatballs? And you call yourself an Italian restaurant? What a disgrace.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally got the opportunity and the results are mixed. Calamari was very good, top 10 for sure. Their Tisano dips or whatever they’re called were good. However, their fried cheeseballs were out of this world delicious. Tried the Caesar salad, not good at all, not the lettuce, dressing, or croutons. My wife did not like their roasted red pepper soup. Kids got pizza and they enjoyed it, I had a bite and it was “meh” at best. One child really enjoyed their specialty pizza though. Did a build your own pasta with spicy red sauce and chicken, it was sort of bland tasting, chicken could have been better. Tried the 1lb meatball, very, very delicious. Wife’s lasagna was very good. Waitress was very prompt and friendly. Place had a nice atmosphere.
