I loved this BBQ joint. Our friends from Phoenix told us there was no good bbq to be found, so I went on a mission to prove them wrong.

This place is the real deal! It is so close to Saguaro Lake and Salt River. The barbecue is incredible with a true smoky flavor. I had the brisket sandwich with lean meat piled high on a soft bun. My husband had St. Louis ribs cooked just the way he likes, tender but not falling off the bone. The owner cooks the meats himself. It’s easy to see why this is the top rated BBQ in the area.

We decided to give the smokehouse a try, so hard to find good ribs and pulled pork. It was amazing! We spilt the sampler platter with two sides. Loved the ribs, brisket and pulled pork! Great slaw and Mac and cheese. And we added a side of sawseege! ( sausage)

Waitress was nice the Beer was ice cold I enjoyed that but the $28.99 3 meat platter maybe had enough meat to make a sandwich . It was equivalent to a taste test. Maybe 2oz of pulled pork 2 very small slices of brisket and a sausage that wasn’t very good. Now after 79.00 for two platters and two drinks we have to go find dinner somewhere.

Thank you Tipsy Kow! This is a great addition to the area. The brisket sandwich was delicious. The access to the parking lot was good, there is a wheel chair ramp in front of the restaurant as well. The outside seating was quaint and inviting. When I entered the place I immediately regretted the decision to get out food to go as the interior was impeccably clean and well decorated creating a space you wanted to be in. I plan on returning soon to try more meals but the brisket sandwich was super tender and delicious ooh and as a bonus the didn’t even ask what BBQ sausages we might want, they included some of all of their 7 flavors which included a white sauce that was incredible, our favorite of all. Try this place soon and be ready for a very personal hello from the owners who seemed incredibly friendly and genuine.

Was in the area on a family vacation and wanted to try a local barbeque joint. Don’t let the small building fool you! This was some of the best barbeque we’ve ever had. Great ribs, brisket, pulled pork and sides. Friendly service as well!

This little gem is such incredibly great BBQ! The brisket, pulled pork, ribs…cannot be beat! The sides like mac and cheese, beans, slaw, potato salad, are all from home recipes and are outstanding! I have eaten BBQ all over PHX and this is by FAR the best. It’s a very small bar/restaurant so don’t let that influence you not to eat there. You will be amazed.

My 4th time here, it doesn’t disappoint. Hidden Gem in Apache Junction, near Apache and Idaho. So very good!!! Tried the brisket sandwich this time, didn’t want my dinner to end. Kimberly is awesome and Duane’s bbq is off the charts. Can’t say enough good things, if your in the mood for bbq… make the time to check out the Tipsy Kow in AJ. You’ll be glad you did!

I would give Tipsy a 10+ but it only goes to 5. I love BBQ and have tried several in the Phoenix valley. This is easily in the top two and actually I would rate it the top one. It’s a little hole in the wall with not much seating. BUT it is clean, friendly, cozy and some of the best music I have had the pleasure of listening to while in a restaurant…perfect for a BBQ joint. That’s the environment. The food is even better. They serve the ribs naked with the sauce on the side. I always wonder why ribs are served lathered with sauce. What is trying to be covered up? Aren’t the ribs any good? Not here…no fear…because the ribs are top notch. The brisket as well as the ribs are first rate but what really gets a top grade are the sides. Beans, potato salad, cole slaw and Mac and cheese. Good BBQ takes skill but what really makes the BBQ are the sides. My mouth waters as I write this thinking about them. That is what sets Tipsy apart from all others. ALL their sides are worth the trip alone (I cannot say that about any other BBQ spot). Add the meats and you have died and gone to BBQ heaven.

This one of our go to places for barbecue. The food is to die for and the sides are exceptionally delicious. This place should be packed every night. However, it is tucked away in Apache Junction on a side street. If you want a great meal, this is a great place to go. Highly recommend this place.
