Amazing food and service!! The sushi is absolutely delicious and it took us no time at all to eat everything! The owner was so sweet and we loved our experience all around! Definitely recommend, you have got to come here!!!

Left tonight with a bad taste in my mouth… literally. Relatively busy night, so I won’t complain about the wait, even if it was an hour for 5 rolls, that’s not really a stress point since it was quite busy for a Wednesday. Yet, in that time we were not checked on once to see if we would like water/drink refills. Although the first and only beer I got was delicious. When the food did come, my wife and I were excited because we were starving. The rolls were less than extraordinary, actually the worse maki I have ever had. Yes, I can be pretentious sometimes with my standards of food/booze but even my darling wife had a hard time choking down our rolls. The Johnny o was satisfactory, yet the warm mayonnaise made my stomach turn. The Jessica or Jennifer had sweet potato “tempura” which was not airy and crunchy but more like fried an hour or two prior and left to sit in its own waste until ready to be served. You can’t screw up the avocado roll, right?!? Think again, it was as if they had one avocado left in the entire place and then put slivers of it wrapped in nori. The nori to avocado ratio was very off. And all of them were wrapped maybe by a five year old… anyways.. bill comes and there is a chocolate soufflé on it which we didn’t order. I didn’t have the heart to tell our server that everything except my single beer was good.

Loved the drinks and the sushi. Waiting time on the weekends happens even with a reservation. Recommend planning to get a drink at the bar while waiting for the table and putting in your food order. On Friday, due to how packed the place is, sushi can take 45min to come out. Lobster was well worth it, as good as before pandemic.

We went on a Wednesday and the food was good and everyone was very friendly. However it was so loud that we couldn’t hear each other talk. A table 7 was also seated so close to us that we had zero personal space and it became very uncomfortable. We ultimately just tried to eat quickly so we could leave. This was the first time I dined-in; I’ll probably just stick to takeout in the future.

I’ve been to Yama Zakura many times and I love the staff. Anna, George, Will, Matt, Jess, Des, etc. The place is a blast to dine at the bar. The sushi is pretty solid as well. I generally go because I know most of the staff and like to interact with them.

We went here in May. The temakis were soo good! The crispy rolls were just alright. Very generous with the fried rice, and also got an appetizer from the bar that tasted really good. I don’t know what it’s called, lol. Service was great!

Great place for sushi-type food. Their basil stirr fry noodles are amazing. In my openion this is the best restaurant in Northborough. You definitely need a reservation to get a spot. The price is average and they have a nice/limited beer selection

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant! It is packed during the weekend! Reservations are recommended due to its popularity! The sushi here are delicious! The chefs do care greatly about the quality of the dishes that they bring out. The selections of sushi are plentiful with specials posted on the wall. The prices coincide with the quality and big crowd. This is a true treasure in Northborough.
