This place is a neighborhood gem. Great place form date night or any night really. The sushi is prepared exquisitely. I’m still making my way through the menu, but everything I’ve had is really fresh and they have great presentation. The gyoza (fried) is excellent. Cocktails have a generous pour. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. They offer take out as well. Love this place!

We were really disappointed with our recent visit. The restaurant was very quiet, yet it took an unusually long time for our food to come out. This was especially frustrating given how few customers were there at the time.
We used to be huge fans of Yama Zakura, particularly during Covid, when the quality and service were consistently great. Unfortunately, it feels like the restaurant has gone downhill since then. The long wait and overall experience just didn’t live up to what we remembered or expected.
We hope this is something management can address, but as it stands, this visit was a letdown.

Every bit of the food was exceptional, from the miso soup to the dessert, with maki rolls in between. The salmon sashimi was incredibly fresh and tender. We will definitely be back for more and to try the chocolate soufflé this time, so we can order it before the meal to come out 45 minutes later. I hear it’s ridiculously good.

We loved this place so much that we went here two nights in a row. Even though we ended up with the wrong sushi roll and ended up with a spicy tuna tataki . The spicy tuna tataki will be added to all future orders in addition to the steamed gyoza, chicken pad Thai, and pineapple fried rice. This is high quality food and in my opinion worth the price. You get what you pay for. This fed 4 people and we even have some leftovers for tomorrow.
The staff was super friendly and also very alert to allergies which was highly appreciated since we have a family of almost all Gluten and shellfish allergies.
I can’t wait to come back during my next visit!

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant! It is packed during the weekend! Reservations are recommended due to its popularity! The sushi here are delicious! The chefs do care greatly about the quality of the dishes that they bring out. The selections of sushi are plentiful with specials posted on the wall. The prices coincide with the quality and big crowd. This is a true treasure in Northborough.

We went here in May. The temakis were soo good! The crispy rolls were just alright. Very generous with the fried rice, and also got an appetizer from the bar that tasted really good. I don’t know what it’s called, lol. Service was great!
