The chips are thin & crispy. The salsa is spicy & full of flavor. The blue cheese coleslaw slaw is delicious! And the goat birria tacos are my favorite! The Yucatan pork was also delicious.
(They were easily able to accomate my gluten-free request.)
My girlfriend and I have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant in the area since we both just moved. Tonight, we unfortunately landed here. The staff was overall fine and the atmosphere could’ve been better, but the food…. I was genuinely laughing at the thought of Gordon Ramsey eating here, it was that bad. I got pork street tacos, and a side of refried beans. The pork was flavorless and dry. Every Mexican restaurant I have ever been to has juicy, seasoned, pork. This was a dry lump of salty meat. I didn’t even try the beans because they looked disgusting, but my girlfriend did. She said “they were flavorless and dry”, so I guess I didn’t miss much by not trying them. My girlfriend got their enchiladas, and a side of rice. Before I get into the atrocity that is the rice, the enchiladas were also disgusting, according to my girlfriend. It looked like there was just spaghetti sauce thrown on her enchiladas instead of the normal enchilada sauce you would find anywhere else. The look apparently wasn’t too far off from the taste, she said “it just tastes like tomato sauce”. Now for the rice… I never thought someone could make a bowl of rice look like spaghettio’s, but Tio’s somehow managed to do so. I again, did not try them because of the atrocity I was looking at. My girlfriend said they were hard, as if they were undercooked noodles. So I am again, glad I didn’t try them. I really am not the type of person to write reviews or complain at restaurants. The food here was just so comedically bad. I’m not going to sit here and say “I’m never coming back again” because they’ll be fine without my business, but I will tell you to save yourself the time and money. This was the worst restaurant I have ever been to in regards to their food. To whoever is in the kitchen, just pack it up at this point.
Guacamole – Pretty much as good as guac gets, one of the best I’ve had. Super creamy!
Taco Flight – I tried 4 different tacos and honestly just found the 3 with meat to be bland. They are SUPER loaded with meats and just didn’t love any of them. My favorite was the meatless one (the “Papa”), which was potatoes/cheese/sauce and pretty good.
My name is Adam, and my newborn son is currently in the NICU at Von Voigtlander Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor. Yesterday, my wife and I, along with many other families in the unit, received the Thanksgiving lunch you generously provided.
I just wanted to reach out personally to say thank you. Being in the NICU is emotional and overwhelming, and holidays can feel especially heavy. Your meal brought a little bit of normalcy and comfort into a very difficult time. It gave us a moment to breathe and feel human again.
The food was incredible too. The stuffing was honestly the best we’ve ever had.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for thinking of families like ours during the holidays. It meant more than you know.
With gratitude,
Adam
