The food is spot on, and the people are so amazing. This is a family owned business. The people that own this restaurant branched away from the Mexican restaurant on high street and started their own little place. If you are looking for those familiar faces that you once seen they are here! This place once was the old Dan’s Diner and now it is Tios Mexican restaurant. The photos of our food doesn’t even do justice on how flavorful it was. I hope to see this place packed in the near future once people realize how great the food is and who the people are that run it. I had 4 people in my group and didn’t spend a whole $100 here. The prices are good. They also serve breakfast!

The food was really good, we will be back for an another visit. Prices were fair and they have some really nice specials. The breakfast menu looks phenomenal, it’s a good mixture of American and Mexican. The decor is a mixture of Mexican American design and the previous restaurant. They are still honoring the previous restaurant by leaving many of their items on display. The negative part was the service. The staff members were very friendly and polite but very slow and inattentive. That being said, go and try the food.

AND!! I or shall I say We have not stopped coming by!! It’s our new favorite spot! Love the food the family that owns the restaurant made us feel like Family !! The food is amazing great portion! Price is fair! But it’s my to go place now before work or on special occasions my home away from home when I don’t want to cook or just to treat myself and my coworkers my friends truly a Diamond in the ruff ❤️

Tio’s Diner is a gem in South Columbus. Having been a fan of Dan’s (see original review below), we were disappointed to see it change hands. But then we went to Tio’s and we couldn’t be happier. The Mexican breakfast we had (chilaquilas, breakfast burrito with chorizo) was wonderful, the portions were huge, and the service was exceptional. We will be back often.
Original Dan’s Diner review: Classic, unpretentious diner with excellent service and large menu of food you would expect. We ordered chicken & waffles and a skillet hash of some sort. The hash was quite good, while the chicken & waffles was a bit under-seasoned. I would pass on the coffee if you can. It tasted like rubber. Service was very friendly and attentive. I will be going back next time I need my diner fix.

Food is wonderful and always comes out super quick. Good portion size and the employees are always so nice. They also serve breakfast of all kinds bright and early and it is served all day. We have had takeout multiple times. as well as dining in and both experiences have been great! Highly recommended and I hope others find this spot.

I really enjoy the size of the menu. When your wife is craving Mexican, son wants pancakes, and you want a burger, this is the place to go. Server was fast and the food was good. What more can you ask for? I like how they repurposed the old 50’s diner feel, but still made it a Mexican restaurant. Oh, and the cost was good. Probably cheaper than most Mexican restaurants. We loved it.

Came in for lunch and the food was nicely priced with decent portions. Food came out hot and was delicious. They have good Horchata and a pretty big selection of food. Service was OK.
