I’m from out of town and used to good BBQ, so obviously particular about the quality of my BBQ food…This place, although appearing modest at first, was absolutely FIRE! So good, I got an additional meal to go.
I travel for work and am now relieved I found my spot, every time I fly into Pittsburgh. Definitely a hidden gem and I would strongly recommend, if you’re a BBQ junkie like me, that you try this place!!
Oh, and couldn’t believe how inexpensive everything was, so also budget friendly for anyone looking to not over spend on the bigger national brands.

The Tin Shack catered my daughter’s first birthday and the food could not have been better! Despite having two events to cater on the same day, he was still willing to make food available for pickup. The food was ready perfectly on time and all of my guests complimented me on the food! 10/10 would have Tin Shack BBQ again.

I absolutely love the Tin Shack! I’ve attended events catered by the Tin Shack and Been to the food truck. I attended the Tallant wedding and the food provided by the Tin Shack was excellent. The servers were friendly and going above to make sure people had what they were asking for. The guests were all very complimentary and a number asked for information to come and get food again. Many people got seconds and even thirds. Even staff at the club commented how good the food was. As someone who has been to both catered events and the food truck, I would highly recommend the Tin Shack BBQ for your catering needs and for a great food truck experience. You get exactly what you ask for and what you pay for. It’s served in a timely and friendly manner.

Tin shack is amazing and nothing short if it ..the food is always fantastic, some of the best mac and cheese around. If you love baked beans then youll love tin shacks brisket beans. It is run my one of the nicest guys, I would absolutely recommend this business for catering if you’re in the need for that.

I called last minute for food for twenty five person event. Food was awesome, the service was great. Everyone raved about the food. Comments were made beans were best ever tasted. Pulled pork and ribs were excellent

This place is great! The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious! Chicken, brisket, pulled pork, homemade mac n cheese, it is all good! And the portions are huge too, I thought the to-go container was gonna break it had so much food in it. Its awesome to be able to go grab some groceries at Nasers on a sunday and get BBQ from these guys.
The owner Ian is a real stand up guy too! He and his staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about the food he creates. You can tell he really cares about his food quality and the satisfaction of his customers.
They also catered my buddies wedding last summer, he drove the truck all the way to summerset for him and his wife. We had ribs for an appetizers, and they were fall off the bone tender. Probably the best food ive ever had at a wedding! Cannot say enought about the professionalism and quality of food from the Tin Shack BBQ team that day.

Absolutely ruined my mom’s wedding.
Tin Shack BBQ was hired to cater one of the most important days of our lives — my mother’s wedding — and they completely dropped the ball in every possible way.
First, they ran out of food before even half the guests had eaten. We were left scrambling to feed our own wedding guests on the spot, completely unacceptable for a paid catering service.
Worse still, they didn’t bring plates. Yes, you read that right. A BBQ caterer showed up with no plates. People would have had to eat with their hands or use napkins like it was a backyard disaster, not a wedding. Luckily the best man/groom or whoever got plates.
And after all that, they started harassing my mom, the bride, for leaving a truthful review. They called her repeatedly, sent aggressive texts, and tried to gaslight her into deleting her feedback instead of taking any responsibility.
They even had the audacity to complain we didn’t tip. Why would we tip a vendor that failed at the most basic parts of their job and then blamed us for their mess?
No apology, no accountability, no professionalism. If you care about your event at all, run in the opposite direction. Tin Shack BBQ should not be in business.
