Casual standby serving wood-smoked, marinated meats with all the traditional Southern fixings.

A good meal. Staff is friendly and honestly pretty jolly. The pulled pork is great and the brisket is good, but the pulled chicken leaves much to be desired. The green beans and mashed potato were pretty solid. It’s fairly clean for a BBQ joint. Their BBQ sauces that they offer are not very different from each other. I wish the “spicy” BBQ sauce was actually spicy. For a BBQ joint, it’s not the best, but it’s a solid meal for the area.

This used to be a decent place to get a meal.
My lunch was horrible. This is truly one of the worst meals I’ve eaten. The brisket cost more and it’s usually very lean and delicious but not today. This was a pile of literal fat. It was so disgusting. It was inedible and had to be thrown away.
There was no bread under the meat and it was literally swimming in a half inch of grease. In the restaurant BBQ sauce is at a pump and self serve so why was I charged $1.00 for what I c out is get there for free just because I got it delivered? The collard greens have not finished cooking and had no meat bits like they usually do.
The Mac and cheese was so dry that I wonder if it’s yesterday leftover that was reheated. The baked potato is the saddest thing I’ve ever seen. It was just about thumb sized and no topping. I also got a slice of pie which was flat as a pancake but tasted ok and that could be on Door Dash packing it so I am not rating that part bad. It’s why it gets a 1 and not a 0.

Everything I walk into this place I feel like Im walking into my favorite blues bar…they always have old school blues playing, and the decor reflects that deep southern culture. Ohhh and the FOOD. Just melt-in-your mouth ribs , pick your style. Baby back, Pork, even Flintstone sized Texas beef. Grab more tangy sweet or spicy BBQ sauce on the way to your table. And the sides!! My FAVE Corn on the cob! Corn bread. Collard greens, just crazy good down home Comfort food. Lastly, you can’t beat the homestyle PECAN PIE.
OK, I gush, can’t help. Love this place.

This was my second time ordering from this place, and once again it did not disappoint. The food is absolutely delicious. But this time, I want to focus on the service because, as the saying goes, “honor to whom honor is due.”
I want to express my sincere gratitude to David and his staff. I unexpectedly found myself in a situation where I had to provide lunch for 35 people on short notice. I called David practically praying for a miracle, and without hesitation he told me the food would be ready in an hour.
Not only did they come through punctually, but the food was finga’-licking good. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and most importantly, everyone loved it.
Thank you again to David and the entire team for stepping up when it mattered. Exceptional service like that deserves to be recognized.

So, I’ve never been here before and to be honest I won’t be going back. The cost of a “Beef rib” plate is crazy for 4 fat covered bones. Very little to no meat on them. The Mac N Cheese is bland, lacks cheese. The cornbread was soft, like cake. The beef brisket as you can clearly see was 70% fat thru out. The pulled pork lacked any sauce or flavor and was semi dry. For $56 for two meals this was beyond disappointing and disgusting. I feel like I was mislead beyond belief with all the positive reviews here. I want my money back, anything would have been better than this.

Disappointed this time. Purchased food for a lunch takeout on Sunday. The food seemed reheated, not fresh. Some of the mac and cheese was hard and dry, very little flavor. The ribs were over cooked, dry and dark. Maybe there’s a better day/time to go, but I would make sure the food is fresh.

We have been eating there since it opened about 25 years ago. It is the favorite restaurant of our family. Fast and friendly service, mouth-watering smell as soon as you get out of your car, and meat that falls off of the bone. The southern style green beans are a healthy side that is great!! We love Tennessee BBQ so much!!

This ain’t a meal — it’s a full-blown therapy session with ribs. The meat was fall-off-the-bone and glazed like it had a passport. That mac & cheese was baked with love and childhood memories. Mashed potatoes? Creamy with that gravy punch. And that cornbread… don’t talk to me while I’m holding it. It’s personal. Tennessee’s Real BBQ is the kind of spot where you go quiet after the first bite. Don’t play with it. Just pull up hungry. The girl who rang me up was super nice! Thank you!

Well, it’s certainly edible. Fair price for the amount of food you get, but as serious barbecue, this place doesn’t rank. there was no smoke ring, no bark on the brisket, beans tasted like canned beans, mashed potatoes tasted like tap water. Flat on flavor and personality from the staff.
I did hear another customer say they love to particular item, but it wasn’t what I got. For an area with limited barbecue, you’re better off que’in at home.

First off I want to say the restaurant smells amazing the bathrooms were very clean and they also smelled great. The food was awful. I got the barbecue sampler. The chicken was okay and the ribs were decent but the pulled pork was just terrible. The mac and cheese was bland and I got a sweet potato that was not dressed at all they literally just tossed it in the oven and then tossed it in some tin foil. The cornbread it was also kind of rubbery and I don’t even know how you do that. If this sounds like a $25.00 deal then you’ll be very happy.
Staff was very friendly.
