We were very excited to see the “Coming soon” sign while driving down 380! We have gone to the Frisco location a few times and thought it was very solid every time.

We liked the counter ordering but amazing and quick service of a traditional restaurant.

We always love their pork XLB and biang biang noodles. We have gotten their popcorn chicken (taiwanese style) and scallion pancakes which we enjoyed at the Frisco location. The beef roll was also delicious to me but not my wife.

My son and I were looking for something different than our usual spots, found this place on Yelp. Oh wow the food is absolutely delicious. I had the beef and broccoli so delicious and my son had the lo mein noodles w shrimp and beef. The noodles were absolutely amazing. My son is picky when it comes to noodles but he is already planning our next trip out. Thank you for making our mother son dinner date night a success.

This our 2nd trip here in a week. Waited to post a review to see how consistent they would be. Very authentic as I’ve traveled overseas many times. Portions are large so plan on sharing or take home. Beef and broccoli flavor was awesome and broccoli was crisp as we desired. Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup was delicious and the beef was so tender. The Chili Oil Wontons were a tasty appetizer to start it all off. If you truly love authentic Chinese, this is definitely the place to be. Small, but packed and half of the customer were Asian so that should tell you something.

We were famished and were looking for something familiar but different for dinner.

Yelp suggested 88 Baobao and we were happy to try them in McKinney Tx, but had tried and liked their Cali branch earlier!

First of all a wide smile and eagerness to serve seemed ingrained into the staff here.

We ordered quickly and our food was brought quickly !

It was served piping hot and for the first time in a long while I thoroughly enjoyed slurping my XLB while came in quickly and almost too hot to eat! Yumm!

We also got the HarGaw and enjoyed them thoroughly as well !

Portion sizes were huge so the Shrimp Fried Rice and the Kung Pao Chicken that we ordered, though tantalizingly inviting, had to be taken as to go after only a few bites!

We loved everything about this place and place to come again very soon!

We got the Golden fried bun with condensed milk, beef lo mein, and pork XLB. Food was good. The beef lo mein was worth the price for the gigantic portion size. Tons of vegetables in the dish and the beef was extremely tender. The golden fried bun was very crunchy. The pork XLB was very juicy.

From Taiwan, and personal think the XiaoLongBao is the most close taste to the DingTaiFeng. Size is right to eat and still juicy. Also we love their Beef Noodles, is hand pull made. OMG, the popcorn chicken is also crispy and smell so so so good with basils. ~ Manager Joyce is very sweet and nice to customers and introduce their featured cuisines so well. We’d definitely go back and back 🙂

So excited to have a Chinese restaurant close by with hand pulled noodles! Additionally, I recommend the XLB and chicken with jalapeños. They also have very tasty chili oil! Our new go to place for dumplings!

I love dumplings so I was excited for this to open and it didn’t disappoint. The wait staff is friendly, the food came out quick and hot, the soup dumplings and green beans were amazing. Highly recommend.

You get 8 dumplings and I’d say each side is good for 2-3 people. My pictures were after we’d eaten about half.

Will definitely be back as a regular customer.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Food and Great Service in McKinney!

I visited 88 BaoBao in McKinney, and it was such a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is bright, clean, and cozy — perfect for enjoying authentic Chinese comfort food.

The staff were warm and attentive, always smiling and quick to serve. You can tell they really care about the dining experience.

The food was outstanding. The pork soup dumplings (xiao long bao) were juicy and flavorful with thin, delicate wrappers. The crab & pork dumplings, pork bun, and egg custard buns were also amazing — each bite felt fresh and handmade. I also recommend the scallion pancake and beef roll, both crispy and full of flavor.

Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and everything tastes authentic. You can really feel the craftsmanship in every dish.

If it gets a bit busy during peak hours, the wait is totally worth it. This is easily one of the best Chinese dumpling spots in McKinney. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be coming back again!

This location just had its soft opening. It’s very new and clean. We even received a small keychain as a gift.

We ordered chicken fried rice, beef noodle soup, popcorn chicken, and pork Xiao Long Bao. The fried rice came in a large portion. We asked for no onions or green onions, and it was cooked exactly how we wanted.

The beef noodle soup’s broth wasn’t very rich in flavor. Also, the menu marked it as spicy, but it was actually quite mild.

The Xiao Long Bao was my favorite — it had soup inside! Just make sure to eat it quickly; with the AC blowing from above, the wrapper dries out fast.
