This location is food court style, next to a Jimmy John’s sub shop, Sbarro’s Pizza, Burger Shack and Dunkin’. My experience at Tikka Shack for the first time was disappointing to say the least, as they were of stock of many products at 2:30 PM on a Saturday. Ordering/inventory should be prepared for this. They were out of shrimp, so no shrimp tacos. *Cold case was completely empty with nothing in it, no lassi available*. Apparently at other locations the drink case has beverages in it and the Naan is fresh as well- it wasn’t fresh here. There were no drinks available at all from this location, I was directed by them to the food court soda fountain instead, or you could get a drink from one of the other establishments next to this one. The menu screen at this location also doesn’t show the entirety of the menu either. They have some paper print outs at the counter, if you realize to look and notice the difference. I wouldn’t have known there was more to the menu if I didn’t look the menu up online before I came here. They also don’t label any of the food they give you, so if ordering multiple dishes for people it becomes confusing what is what- you have to figure it out by the way the food looks.
The flavor was okay otherwise, and the bowl was a filling portion of food despite not looking like a lot at first.
Maybe it’s a recent issue with staffing or management here, because the last few recent reviews are awful. but not worth driving out of your way for, let alone the 40 minutes we came from. The person who brought me here is used to a different Tikka Shack location in Harrisburg and said it wasn’t subpar, unlike this location.

If Applebee’s decided to sell Indian food, that is how this place is.
– Good selection
– Microwaved fast food
– Bland
– Is the worst thing that can happen to Indian food

I give this a one star because There was no one running the place. I stopped there on my way across PA to OH and was really excited to try it based on the menu. This was on Jan 27. To be fair, there was a storm that blew through 2-3 days prior.
First, the parking lot, gas pumps were NOT plowed and only compacted by people driving on them. The sidewalks were a foot deep in snow. Not sure who is caring for this place but really a hazard. I had just come from upstate NY and they were plowing parking lots and streets every hour for 48 hours to keep up with the snowfall. I know it is a small town but would think that at very least the sidewalks around the building would have some effort put into snow removal.
Once inside, all the other vendors, Sbarro, Dunkin, etc. were operational and people working the counter. The lights for Tikka were on but no one there. After waiting nearly 5 mins with no one showing up or even one of the other vendors speaking to me to ask if I needed help, I just left. The place Was very clean, and the seating area was very nice. Very sad I could not try the food. Odds are I will not try again even in better weather situation. Sometimes, all a vendor gets is one time to make a good impression. A sign or something saying they were out and be right back or even closed would have been welcomed. I skipped Danni Paani on the other side of the state (I recommend) and the closer to this one Kurry n’ Grill (also very good) just to try Tikka Shack. Won’t make that mistake again. Oh Well.

The last two times we visited they didn’t have the ingredients to make the kabobs/mango salad.

The food was actually really good here. I got the Spinach Masala with chicken, extra hot. The food took a bit to come so if you’re in a hurry you may want to go elsewhere.
In my opinion it is worth it for the wait. A much high caliber food than you would normally get in a gas station.

The food is so good! For being Indian food, in Clarion, at a truck stop, and fast food, it tastes so good. The only negative is that it’s sometimes hard to find someone to take your order but the issue is really how the have the truck stop food section set up and not with the Tikka Shack so I don’t fault them for that. It’s totally worth the stop if you like Indian food!!!! Yum!

Workers have no clue what they are doing. They work at different restaurants and cross prepare food at the others.
Calling someone on phone to ask how to make the food.
Greasy and low quality.
Place is an absolute mess in the dining room. On a long trip it works in a pinch. That’s it.
