Food looked good but was served cold. Took forever to be replaced and it was same crab cake just reheated, this time with a human hair on the fries. I am not a hotel guest, just visiting. I rarely feel the need to write negative review but this was just unacceptable.

You don’t have any other options if you don’t want to leave the pool. So do you leave or order from the Tiki bar?
Skip the burger. We did nachos twice (the pool is in fact amazing).
The first time we got the nachos the minimal cheese was burnt to a literal crisp. The second time we combated this by ordering extra cheese!
If you get a decent breakfast the nachos can hold you over until dinner. Don’t waste your money on the other food.

We were pleasantly surprised how good the food was at Amara Cay! Our son and his wife had lunch at the Tiki Bar and loved it! We had dinner with our friends and the food was excellent. The fried calamari was perfectly cooked and the shrimp BLT was huge. We asked if the chef would make the tuna bowls (only on the lunch menu) for us at dinner. They were absolutely delicious! Our waiter was new, but such a nice young man. He was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of! This was a real find!

Service was splendid!
Do not eat the burrata caprese. Not even a full tomato and mushy. Three thin slices of cucumber dumped on a plate with croutons. Had to return it. Serve it on a smaller plate to make it look like an app next time.
Family enjoyed shrimp cocktail.

Great drinks, snacks, and entrees. I was thrilled with the watermelon salad and conch fritters. My rum runner did not disappoint under the stars, next to a lovely fire pit. Service was understandably slow right after New Year’s, but the staff was all wonderful.

We were staying at a sister property and found out we could visit the other properties. It is definitely worth it to stop here and eat outside at the Tiki Bar. The views are outstanding, the wait staff could not have been nicer, and did I mention how fantastic the food was? All-in-all made for a great night out. I believe we will even look into staying on property next year.
