Tiffin has literally the best house curry I have ever had in my life. I order it with both veggies and paneer (but I’m vegetarian). I cannot recommend this dish highly enough. I might actually be addicted.

Tiffin is 100% my go to place South Asian cuisine in South Philly. If it’s one thing I can say about Tiffin is that the food is consistently good without fail. It’s seasoned to perfection and the chicken is always cooked thoroughly.

We are working our way through all Tiffin locations and so far, this location and Bryn Mawr, PA are tied for #1. Nice, quiet location in South Philly. Mostly take-out and delivery which worked out great for us as we had the whole restaurant to ourselves! The service was friendly and efficient and the food came in pretty metal bowls. The mango lassis were great, as usual, and the Paneer Makhani was delicious. We also tried the Onion Bhaji also, which was lovely. The bathroom could have been cleaner but overall, we enjoyed it.

Ordered Chicken Tikka in the past and was too sweet so I decided to get Malai Kofta hoping it was better. I think their chef loves to just dump sugar into all the curries. So disappointing since flavor is good but the sweetness makes it almost unedible

Food was excellent and spicy. Restaurant looked nice inside and it was not crowded.

Counter staff was very nice and the food was served hot.

I found it to be a bit expensive, and the online ordering through their website was a bit difficult. The checkout process failed twice on my phone, and I had to log onto my laptop to complete the order. Their site also sent me a bunch of followup emails, personally I’d recommend just calling in an order and paying in person to save yourself some trouble.

I also only got this one pic because I was too busy eating to remember to snap more!

Butter chicken is so rich and savory. Creamy and delicious!

Lamb Roganjosh was seasoned well and had a nice kick to it.

Samosa were also very delicious, very good filling and chutney.

The roti and garlic nan were just ok. Roti did the job was slightly too dry. I know you dip roti but sometimes you can just eat it plain and it’s still good to munch on. These one needed sauce.

The mango lassi is thicc and had a tart edge to it.

One of the better Indian cuisine places near me but also could be better as well.

They are a little slow with service but they are very nice!

I’m not sure if this place changed hands, but the food was better than the last time I ate there. Another change is that there is no longer an alcohol menu so it is BYOB. The saag paneer is my favorite here but the Tandoori chicken was really flavorful and juicy.

Tiffin is a yummy spot for take out. I’ve never eaten in their restaurant, but every time I pick up food it’s always completely empty (as shown in the picture). Their curry is really good. This past time we ordered the aloo gobi & butter chicken, & the aloo gobi was alright & the butter chicken was good. I never feel super healthy after I eat their food, but my taste buds are usually happy. I recommend it for as a good take out spot.

I’ve been ordering Tiffin occasionally for years. After a break I’ve started ordering again (this time through their website) and it’s consistently better tasting and a much better value than I remembered. As for the food, it’s as good as ever. The coconut cauliflower appetizer is very tasty, and their samosas are some of the best around!

Things I really like about ordering from their website directly:
1. The T-coins are a great reward through their website. It saves me money!
2. The delivery is fast.
3. The reusable container option is amazing. So easy, and eliminates my guilt for creating more plastic waste.

Ordered from uber eats. The chicken tikka was weirdly sweet like the put actual sugar into it. The mango lassi spilled in the car, soaked the bottom of the paper bag so when I picked it up at my apartment it exploded. Please package better.
