The restaurant is in a beautiful location with tables overlooking on the beach and ocean. They offered a ribeye (not New York) steak that was definitely subpar; fatty and lots of gristle. The service was fine, champagne was excellent, and dessert devine. We would not go back; too many other good restaurants with views of the ocean nearby.

Food and beverages cost too much. Should have a local discount. The food was delicious and the drinks were good.

Our time here was memorable. The good was in good proportion. The quality was great, the service was great. We had a 1030a.m. reservation of 12 so it felt a little rushed to order being the kitchen closes at 11a.m. until dinner but literally everything else was fantastic. Our waiters were great and cut my baby shower cake for us perfectly and stored it for us as well being it was an ice cream cake! Would definitely recommend. Views were priceless.

Staff are extremely friendly and kind. Restaurant is very kid friendly, while also maintaining a fine-dining atmosphere. The sunset views are spectacular. My spouse and kids truly enjoyed our experience and will be coming back soon.

Server#:000018 was rude, didn’t serve us water and complained about the amount of his undeserved tip while leaving the table. Strawberry french toast and sausages were on point, castroville omelette had a mystery meat that was not listed in the menu. The mimosas were light on the juice.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic breakfast we had at the Tides Waterfront. We stayed at the Monterey Tides Hotel during spring break. I rarely eat at the hotel restaurant because in general hotel restaurants are terrible. Not this one. They had a wide variety of offerings for meat lovers, vegetarians and the pickiest of eaters… kids. The restaurant was built like Windows on the world. Each row of tables were placed higher than the one in front of it. Design intended for all patrons to see the lovely view of the bay and that it was.

Dinner was served as room service as Monterey County continues to be closed for in-door dining. The view of the bay is spectacular and amplified by the crashing of the waves. Main entrees were good, with flavors unique enough to distinguish between both species of fish. Dessert was slightly lackluster, with the chocolate torte falling flat with flavor and a more fudge-like consistency.

The food here is very good, although quite expensive. The menu is also small, so you may not be able to repeat-dine more than twice if you’re staying at the hotel. The restaurant’s most unique selling point is the view, which is stunning to say the least. Every seat in the house provides the view, which is great as well. Overall a nice experience.

We had a reservation that we showed up on time for, but they gave it to another group because”they showed up first”. That was disappointing but they got us seated fairly quickly and from there it was just a series of weird experiences. If you order drinks, stay away from anything they make themselves. The food quantity ranged from ok to bad, the service was comically bad. Our group eventually just leaned into the experience and had a good time trying to guess what weird thing would happen next there. It was the single worst restaurant experience I’ve had where no one ended up sick, but honestly it was one of the funniest experiences too. It felt like we were part of a prank show, even our bottles of Modelo were past their BB date. I only reviewed this because it would be really upsetting to take a loved one out and have an experience like ours. Nobody got food poisoning and everyone got to laugh about it afterwards.
