Always a good choice for coffee and food. They are usually busy but I never have to wait very long. They offer made in house baked goods and quiche and chicken salad that’s delicious. There’s usually some locally made sour dough bread loaves for sale too. They have a huge selection of syrups and offer several non coffee options. I love the vibe with all the windows and plants. The owners are usually present and service is always great. My go-to whenever I am in town plus they have fantastic hours even open Sundays

Great service. Great food. If you want to be a hero, pick up a pack or two of the mimi cinnamon rolls for work or church gathering. Love the bacon cheddar chive quiche. Lots of options for breakfast or a croissant sandwich for lunch.

I spent Thanksgiving with my in-laws and found this nice coffee shop down the street. The layout is a little awkward because it’s in an old building, but I think they did the best with the space they were given. There are plenty of booths, chairs, and high tops available for seating. Suitable for both solo visits and group meet-ups. The interior is aesthetically pleasing–dark walls and sleek with plants all around.
We got a blackberry latté with half flavoring and whole milk. That was pretty decent. The barista was very attentive and made sure I knew that the blackberry latté would be made with regular beans plus blackberry syrup while their blackberry cold brew that was being featured was made with blackberry flavored beans. I normally order a cortado but I’m glad I didn’t because the plain cold brew we got was not good. It had too much bite and I also got a mouth full of grounds. Cold brews are supposed to be smooth because the cold water extracts less acid over an extended period of time. I’m not sure if any corners were cut but that’s what it tasted like. After reviewing their bags for sale it looks like they specialize in flavored coffees which is fine, but more often than not they focus more on the novelty than the actual process. With that being said, because my in-laws live here we will definitely be back. We will just skip the cold brew next time.

Scrumptious fresh cinnamon roll and delicious coffee. The shop has a spacious, stylish, and homey feel. The service was excellent as well.

Nice breakfast here on a Saturday morning. Home made quiche and pop tarts. Good coffee, friendly baristas. Housed in an old mechanic shop hence the name. Support local businesses in mason city. Would come again.

Absolutely the best place for a reset of your tastebuds and vibes. Family owned joint that’s a coffee shop/bakery/grab ngo lunch spot. The second you walk in it’s a throwback to a bygone era where life was simple, food was good, and neighbors felt like neighbors.

My family has been enjoying weekend flavored mocha tasting & sampling for the last year or so, it’s a tradition now! We first came to Three on the Tree with a coupon, and were immediately Huge fans!!! Even when they’re busy, we’re in and out in 10-15 minutes (we’ve always ordered drinks to go).
The staff are incredibly friendly & folksy, label our various mocha flavors, and offer wonderful baked goodies. We’ve sampled every other coffee location in MC ~ and this is our family favorite go-to Cafe, by a mile!!!! Thank You!!!
