I went here w my son for dinner. We’ve been here many times and the food and service has always been great. But decided to try some new dishes: pretzels w beer cheese and Detroit deep dish pizza. The pretzels with beer, cheese were fantastic and we’ll be getting them again. You get around 1/2 sticks and the cheese is very flavorful. The deep dish pizza was definitely different from Jets deep dish. The sauce is on top of each piece, which is interesting and there’s a great herb flavor sprinkled on the pizza. I’m not sure we’ll get it again, but it was definitely worth a try. Highly recommend checking out Thompsons pizza if you have not experienced it yet.

Went with some friends trying the monster pizza. Serving sizes for the regular menu options were also very solid.
Fish sandwich was amazing. Tried the pretzels with beer cheese, would have lived some salt on the outside them, but they were still delicious without it. Chicken tenders were huge, fries were crunchy and golden and fantastic.
Can definitely see myself returning here again to try out some more.

I’ve been wanting to review Thompson’s Pizza for years now, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the place. My experience wasn’t very good. Service was just ok, the food looked good. We got a Detroit style pizza and a BBQ chicken. The Detroit style wasn’t fully cooked and was doughy, the BBQ had way to much BBQ. The beers on tap were good, we ordered a round of fireball and it was either watered down or the malt liquor fireball, and atmosphere $6 a shot is ridiculous. I might give them a chance to redeem them selves and earn a good review but it’s not going to be anytime soon.

In my top five for pizza. I have eaten in house and done pick up, both great. In house place is smaller but still good seating and wait staff is friendly and can give suggestions if you aren’t sure what to order. Pick up is pretty fast and easy, right inside the door. The Pizza is always full of toppings and I like the crust, it’s like a hand tossed.
They do also have a full menu if you aren’t up for Pizza.
Overall I have never had anything to complain about.

Ok…My wife and I tried Thompsons Pizza about a year ago and we have been back every month since! The pizza is fantastic (we always order extra sauce) and the atmosphere is great. Carley is our favorite waitress and we look forward to seeing her each visit….oh yeah, my wife likes the salads too….(who needs a salad when there is pizza????)

We were driving through as we were heading to Chicago. We orderd a small deep dish and it did not disappoint.

Waitress was great. Food was the best we’ve had in a long time. Pizza, pulled pork and artichoke dip. All was delicious. Better than Clavons in Jackson!

Pizza was great and reasonably priced. Restaurant was very busy for a Friday afternoon, although the seating area is small (we tried coming on a Friday evening previously, but there was no parking available). We found a table immediately, but it took a long time for a server. There was one person waiting tables and one bartender, so perhaps they were understaffed. Service was good, will be back.
