We went abbay’s for a quick lunch dinner. My mother-in-law went in. I got the country fried steak the potato salad, the turnip greens, thus sweet potato casserole and the cornbread so when she brought it out, I looked at the potato salad because some people do put bacon in the potato salad so I’m looking throughout the potato salad and there’s bacon in it but when my mother-in-law came out again, she was like well they said it’s breadcrumbs and it could be breadcrumbs cause it look like bacon, bacon, and breadcrumbs. Don’t look the same so I went in to tell them that this is bacon that I am a Muslim. I can’t have bacon so the lady at the register was showing me what’s in it that doesn’t match up to what the bacon is inside so another lady on the side of her was saying that everything has bacon in it besides the corn and the cabbage I was like well just give me corn is fine, but don’t lie to my mother-in-law about breadcrumbs, looking like bacon

For starters the restaurant reaps of natural gas smell. I mentioned it to the cashier and was advised it had been checked out. But things it was one of the stoves SMH. Secondly, I order two vegetables plates with four vegetables. Had to repeat the order twice to the cashier. Git the order and a serving of vegetables was missing from each order. First time visiting and definitely the last. Total disappointment.

I ordered 2 separate times. First order had a kids chicken & dumplings with green beans, baked chicken with double mashed potatoes with gravy, & fried okra, and a side of rice with gravy. Second order was of snack pack (Baked Wings) for $5 and 16oz rice with gravy for a total of $10.99. Chicken & dumplings are better than Cracker Barrel’s. Fried okra tasted little bland, it needs some seasoning. Snack pack, you have 6 choices and it comes with crinkle cut fries for $5. The fries taste like fries. The baked wings were delicious. The seasoning had a bit of a bit, however I had no issues with it. I was craving rice with gravy. The rice isn’t fully cooked, however it hit the spot for me wanting it. Gravy is your typical brown gravy. Their sweet tea is great. Is this place worth it? Yes. The price over all for what I got is great. Really good food. Could it be better? Yes.

Nothing of this place reminds me of the south. Ordered country fried steak . I got pork chops . 1 minute later I, I received country fried steak . So nothing is cooked to order , green beans still taste like the metal can they came out of . Gravy packaged , butter is a vegetable oil spread . Served cafeteria style. Way over priced . I’ve had better food from a stoffers tv dinner and way less money .

So good! It was my first time there and I got good recommendations before I ordered. The porkchop and chicken wing were perfectly seasoned and flavorful! The sides were really good too. I’ll be back for sure.
