The owner of Gators is such a great person. I’ve been a regular there for 25 years now, but due to various reasons, this was my first visit in four years.
I absolutely love raw oysters, and the ones here are highly recommended. Also, I always order the clam chowder when I go, and this time the clams were huge—it was perfect!

Thirsty Gator has been around for many years and the memorabilia on the walls is testament to this.
We had a bucket of Oysters and a pound of rock shrimp that both were excellent and well prepared by the waitress. A big selection of bottled beers but no draught.

Great dive bar atmosphere with fresh as it gets oysters! The bartender grabs your beer, wine, soda or whatever, takes your order AND shucks your oysters! The night I was there they had Chesapeake Bay oysters. We got them raw and they were magnificent! Napkin caddies mounted right above the bar seats. Super convenient and great use of space. Super smart on many levels, if you ask me! We got a pound of peek and eat shrimp, BIG and perfectly seasoned! So delicious! Last we had to try the gumbalya and it did not disappoint. Full of shrimp, andouille sausage etc (I can’t recall all that’s in it). Broth is full of flavor with a pretty good kick! Not a lot of rice, contradictory to the name, but I wouldn’t change a thing. This is definitely worth the visit! Very reasonably priced, too

Im in a party of 4… I ordered a bowl of clam chowder (which was delicious) and a tea.. . Received mine pretty quickly… one of the people that was with me, ordered a basket of fries that took much longer than it should have…. especially since the other 2 ppl in my group had fries with their orders. The server that we had can’t read body clues .. especially when im looking dead at her and trying to get her attention… if it wasn’t for my friends doing karaoke, I probably wouldn’t come back here… its not the 1st time my service hasn’t been the greatest…

Fun community atmosphere. Great place for karaoke on Wednesdays with Tommy. Food was solid, but not an extensive menu for dinner entrees. Oysters were fresh and good quality. Lisa and Stephanie were friendly and attentive bar hosts. Will be back.

Love everything on the menu, but the Oysters Rockafeller is hands down my favorite! My husband is usually grossed out by oysters and would never ask to try. He saw mine tonight, tried a bite and ended up eating half it!! They’ve gained a new fan! The service here shines too!

First time coming here for oysters – which are an absolute favorite of mine! This place is a diamond in the rough and the most amazing oysters I’ve ever had in Orlando. Our bartender/sever Steph along with Owner Tim greeted us with open arms. I felt like I was having a late lunch at my buddy’s house! Tim the owner even stepped in to chuck the oysters for us and have a friendly chat. I can’t

Ice cold beer, reasonable priced/fresh oysters!! Oysters can take a bit long because they had to prepare them one by one, but worth the wait 🙂

We have been coming here for years and love their service and oysters. We like to support our locals in the community and their oysters have never disappointed. Good ambiance and a good place to go just for a relaxing chill night. They have a pool table, darts, as well as juke box.
