Right in the middle of the newest -“man made resort experience”- just 11 miles out of peoria on hwy 26 near spring bay, this restuarant has great potential…..the food took way too long to be served however the service was never lacking.

Far and away the best restaurant in Central Illinois, rivaling most in Chicago and in a much more beautiful setting. The chef is world class, the food is fresh and local, and the service is fantastic. We will be visiting as often as possible!

The dinner menu was different than entrees noted in reviews from about 6 months ago- but still unique and upscale and with delightful presentation. There was no problem with food quality or temperature. My husband and I would eat here again for a special occasion dinner, but its a little too pricey for dining on a routine basis. The patio, firepit and lake view will have us coming back to enjoy drinks for sure! (and likely an appetizer or dessert) Service was courteous and timely. The ambiance was casual and friendly.

Came here with my wife and small group of friends on a Saturday at 6:30; a beautiful, smaller, intimate ski lodge feel. It was fairly full, but no crowded feeling. Our waitress was fantastic, very attentive with drinks, and making sure we had what we needed. Appetizer (cheese curd bread) was very good, and didn’t take too long. Food came out in a timely enough manner. The prime rib was absolutely top-notch, and the twice-baked potato was unlike any I have had before. This is a must-try place if you live in central Illinois, or are in town visiting. Pricing felt right for the quality of food and drink. Appetizer may have been slightly over what I’d pay for again, but altogether, We look forward to going back!

Just a completely delightful experience. My mom and I are both vegan and she called ahead and they said they’d make sure that everyone was taken care of. I’m always wary of restaurants not knowing what vegan cuisine entails, but the executive chef, Josh, made absolutely certain that everything was flawless. He went completely out of his way to veganized some menu items and even prepare a vegan main from scratch. That, paired with the excellent service of our server Ashley, made for a wonderful evening. I was absolutely blown away and I can’t wait to visit again!

We went there on the weekend of Oct 23 and camped and ate at the restaurant. The campground is a new place still some under construction but it is a very nice place to relax and enjoy a weekend getaway. The restaurant itself was very nice but the food was just awful. A couple of us ordered the Barbequed Berkshire Pork Coppa and it was cold, the plate was not even warm. Also ordered The Super Spud, and it super sucked as well. It was covered completely up with a cheese sauce? and that was to hide the fact the it was burnt and you couldn’t eat the skin because it was like leather. To also comment about the Super spud is was super cold as well. So if I am giving a 3 star review for this place, had the food been better I would have given in 5 stars. All in all I will return to the campground but I doubt I will to go back to the restaurant.

This is the first time I’ve felt like giving a standing ovation after a meal! I choose the Prime Rib served with au jus and horseradish cream and the Super Spud. My partner had the Barbecued Berkshire Pork Coppa. Then for dessert, we shared the puffed pastry surprise. Every bite of the dinner was delicious. The prime rib melted in my mouth. After a few bites of the potato, I pulled the dish closer to investigate the layers of flavor. It was masterfully constructed!
