The Wooden Spoon is an excellent place for a well-executed American-style breakfast. The crispy home fries were exactly what you hope they would be, unlike some other restaurants that simply overseason the potatoes.

Jeanie was our server and was very pleasant. The food was delicious!!! Very fair pricing and overly accommodating! My daughter ordered a mimosa with grenadine but they didn’t have any grenadine, a few minutes go by and the host shows up with grenadine. I say the service was amazing.

Cheap, yes. But you get exactly what you pay for. McDonalds quality food, disgusting floors & poor customer service from obviously low paid, unmotivated employees. We initially thought this place would be an upgrade to Denny’s on Mothers Day. They use American Fake Cheese in their very underwhelming & flavorless omelettes even after specifically asking for regular cheddar cheese. (Denny’s Omelettes are way better) Cheap is the only reason I didn’t give it 1 star. Very disappointing taking my wife here on her special day.

Good place for breakfast. Lunch is good. Was better with previous ownership. We still visit here but, not nearly as often as we used to. Too many menu changes with change of ownership even though we were told that would not happen.

I really enjoyed first visit. Second visit ordered pancakes couldnt eat them, to sweet. So i ate the ham. Waitress didnt even ask why i didnt eat the pancakes or offer a refund. I figured it was my mistake for ordering something i didnt like. So the 3rd time i order pickup, just an omelet and toast, he tells me 5min. I jump in my car get there in 3 min, and wait for another 5 min or more. To get a piece of plain bread (not toast) to go with my omelet. And yes i just toasted it at home. Total of $70 spent in 3 trips. Food is awesome tho. I will try again still more items i want to try.

This restaurant probably has the dirtiest carpet in Polk county. The service wasn’t bad but there was nothing good about it either. None of the staff was what I would consider friendly or welcoming, they just didn’t care that we were there. The food was ok. They were out of a few things but didn’t tell us until the meal was at the table. Overall, not worth the trip.

Peggy was so sweet and polite and the perfect example of a extraordinary waitress! She was helpful and doted on our baby!! We accidentally spilt a cup of coffee and she and another coworker quickly cleaned up the mess and also ran our baby’s toy under hot water! She went the extra mile. Wooden Spoon is lucky to have you Peggy!

I ate here today for the first time. Food was good, atmosphere, service and restraint was clean. I give it a 5 star and will return again.
