What a hidden gem! We decided to try something new and I’m so glad we did. My hamburger was great and my husband loved the huge fish sandwich. We also got the Buckeye pretzel bites but they were almost gone before I got picture. They atmosphere was very cozy and the staff is very friendly. My only suggestion to management is to fix the bathroom.

Super friendly waitstaff and probably the best chicken fried steak that I have ever had. Fluffy pancakes and crispy fried goetta. Strong coffee with plenty of creamer provided they left the carafe which I always appreciate.

Small town family diner with great prices. I had the mushroom and swiss omelet with pancakes, and my husband had the breakfast bowl. The food was good and served hot. The omelet was very mushroomy though, so only order it if you love mushrooms.

Lives up to the claim. This was a huge piece of fish battered and fried perfectly on a toasted brioche bun with crinkle fries. My husband had the onion rings that were batter fried to a crispy golden brown. Had been hearing about this fish and it did not disappoint. Will go back for sure.

Checked out the Wooden Barrel for the first time. I got the country fried steak , and my wife got the fish sandwich. Both dishes were amazing and a great deal.

Americana 100 percent.! Wow, it was a great small business surviving by serving the standards of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The exterior interior is so dated the place looks like it was stuck in the eighties with only a few minor revamps to the floor and ceiling tiles. Okay so I suggest the morning tomato juice (aka Bloody Mary). Then the wooden barrel burger with beer cheese was a nice surprise.

We eat here every Sunday. What I like about this place, is that when I order, I already know what it’s going to taste like because it tastes exactly the same every single time. The meatloaf is amazing. The fish is equally as amazing, and to be honest, I’ve tried everything on the menu and all of it is good, but the meatloaf is my favorite. The staff is super friendly and accommodating also!

A great little hidden gem tucked away. I never knew about this place until family members told me about it. I had the country fried breakfast and was very satisfied with the quality of the food.

Quaint place in the best of ways. Service was snappy, both being seated, getting my order in, and receiving it. Food was cooked absolutely perfect – their sausage gravy was the first sausage gravy I’ve had north of Tennessee that was appropriately peppered. Definitely a great spot for breakfast or lunch!
