Server wasn’t great. She was busy chatting with her coworkers and didn’t really pay much attention to us. It was disappointing for how expensive it is there. The fried rice was good though.

Uncomfortable birthday experience:

I visited Wildwood Tavern on 03/07/2026 with friends and family to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately the experience left us feeling very unwelcome.

I have actually been to Wildwood Tavern before with my mom and enjoyed the food, the corn fritters in particular are something I’ve loved in the past, and I’ve even filmed a video there before for a vlog. This visit, however, was very different.

When we were seated, our server Cali came over and dropped the menus onto the table rather than handing them to us. We brushed it off and continued looking over the menu.
Since it was my birthday, we asked if they offered any birthday specials. She excitedly told us about the key lime pie and how good it was, which made us excited to try it.

A little later, while we were laughing and talking, I noticed our server standing off to the side staring at our table. When we made eye contact, the expression quickly changed and she came over smiling and asked if we were ready to order. The interaction felt noticeably uncomfortable and forced.

We ordered the corn fritters and the key lime pie she recommended. After talking it over for a moment, we decided we actually didn’t want the appetizer anymore and politely asked if the fritters could be removed so we could just keep the pie order.

We were still planning to enjoy dessert and possibly order more afterward since we were there celebrating a birthday.
Her response, in front of other tables nearby while we were celebrating, was: “You can’t just come in, get water, and get a free key lime pie. That’s not how this works.”

The tone was dismissive and honestly embarrassing, especially with families sitting directly behind us. If there are policies about birthday desserts requiring a purchase, that is completely understandable, but there is a respectful way to communicate that to guests.

At that point, we decided to cancel everything and leave.
What makes this especially disappointing is that my mom frequents this restaurant and has always spoken highly of it, which is why we chose it to celebrate in the first place.

We did speak with a manager afterward who was kind and apologetic, which we appreciate. I just hope that future guests are treated with more respect and made to feel welcome.

Great place. Their dry rub wings were amazing. Got lunch after donating some groceries for the people in need in Minneapolis!

All people! All of them.

I’ve come here often with my adult kids when they’re in town. It was always a great experience with good food. Unfortunately my last visit will be my last. We ordered our favorites from the menu, and what arrived was pretty disappointing. We weren’t approached by our waitress until we had almost finished eating. When she asked if everything was good. We told her that it was not good, and actually very disappointing. She asked us if she should have it remade, and we refused as we had already mostly finished. She then brought out my side of ranch I had asked for when I originally ordered, and our bill. I’m not sure what I expected, but I didn’t expect to be charged the full amount including an extra dollar for the side of ranch that came out at the end of the meal. I wish them well in the future, but it won’t include my patronage.

We came on a Friday night as it was slighlty busy however we got sat right away. We ordered a few drinks that both turned out great and ordered the corn fritters that not only tasted amazing, but also filled us up. When it came to actual food, this is where the rating drops to 2 stars. I am a professional chef and as such, I have never been blown away about how horrible someone could make a chicken samdwhich. Zero Flavor! I had other people try it and everyone agreed it was terrible. I would feel ashamed if I sold this as a Korean Fried chicken sandwich. It had a small splatter of sauce and the cucumber had zero acidic value meaning they weren’t properly pickled. The lettuce was warm and the bun was dry and crunchy. Overall the worst Chicken samdwhich in my professional culinary experience. 0/10 recommend as I took 2 bites and I’m bringing it back for my compost bin. I am sparing some words as I would rather forget the soggy fries and the over oiled, salty, undercooked fried rice with the flavorless and dry pork belly.

My wife and I have been methodically looking for the best wings in the area, and right now Wildwood is far in the lead. Good size wings with lots of meat, nice and juicy, buffalo sauce was unique but delicious. We also tried the fish and chips and the korean fried chicken sandwich; if you like a hearty piece of fish this place will satisfy. The Korean fried chicken sandwich also didn’t disappoint. All of the food from the apps to the side salad to the mains were exceptional. We will definitely be back. Also our server seemed like he was new, but he was attentive and genuine and the service was great. Our beverages stayed full. Definitely recommend.

Stopped by after going to a show at the Dugout because we wanted some vegetables and had such a pleasant experience! Our bartender Derek took great care of us and was extremely friendly and attentive. Appreciated the popcorn and the bruschetta salad special was delicious. The vibes at Wildwood are super cozy as well. Definitely worth popping in for a drink or a meal or a snack!

My daughter and I stopped in after her choir event down the road today. We ordered cheese curds, wings with a dry rub, and she had the grilled cheese with bacon and fries.

When we first sat down, the waitress asked what we wanted to drink, and I said water for the moment — which was fine. But after bringing the water, she never came back to offer a refill or ask if we wanted anything else to drink.

The food was hit or miss. The wings were way overcooked and the chicken was very dry. The fries weren’t good at all — they were cold, chewy, and tasted like they had been reheated. One fry even tasted like seafood, according to my daughter. The grilled cheese, however, was actually really good. The cheese curds were mediocre at best.

When we were done, I placed our napkins on the plates to signal we were finished after about 10 minutes i then stacked our plates and took my wallet out, but it still took the waitress well over 15 minutes to come by, even other staff walked past us multiple times.and she was at the bar and she looked at our table multiple times.

Overall, I’m not sure how this place has a 4.5 rating.

Whelp-after less then 24 hours im also almost 100% certain I got food poisoning just beware. If the food doesnt look or taste right…dont be like me and just deal with it…I learned my lesson

Great service all around. Food was great (burger, corn fritters, fish and chips, kid’s chicken and fries). Beer was great. My favorite kind of happy hour where all taps and a bunch of small plates are cheaper. Loved the style and decor. Will absolutely be back.

A simple order and a simple request. ADA accommodation outside would have made this experience adaptable, unfortunately, and due to the freezing cold atmosphere inside; no dinner was ordered. 4 waitresses and not one had a clue how to accommodate.
