I had an incredible dining experience at The Water’s Edge Restaurant in Mount Pocono! From the moment I stepped inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone. My waitress was exceptional, offering great recommendations that enhanced our meal.
We kicked things off with the Smoked Gouda and Crab Fondue, which was wonderfully creamy and utterly delicious. For the main course, we opted for the Australian Lamb Shank, which was truly a showstopper! The meat was so tender it literally fell off the bone—hats off to the chef! The red wine recommended paired perfectly with our meal.
To top it all off, I also enjoyed a Smoked Old Fashioned that was expertly crafted—cheers to the bartender. I can’t wait to return the next time I’m in town!

Cozy. It was a little cold but luckily we were placed by the fire! It felt like a Christmas retreat.

Pleasant. Our waitress was very polite & professional. She made me feel special on my birthday!

I got the Heart & Vine – strong, I think next time I’d go with something else. The waitress gave my husband his second prosecco for free because the wait was “too long” (which was a nice surprise). I didn’t think we were waiting that long!

You’ll get a little start plate when you arrive (crackers/hummus).
The pumpkin arancini was scrumptious! I’m glad my husband asked how big it was. You’ll def want your own! I was hesitant to order it at first (because I think I tried this somewhere else and didn’t like it) — but I’m so glad I ordered it. It was so yummy!! The highlight of my meal.
I got the grilled prime pork chop – with smashed sweet potato, cranberry gastrique, apple, onion and bacon compote. Delicious flavors. Unfortunately my photo didn’t come out, but the sample was generous! I also feel like this is a unique meal, would get it again.
My husband got the Lamb. He gave me a piece & it was nice and crispy! I don’t think I’ve ever had a bite of lamb, that was that crispy before (and I loved it!)
{The Dessert}
Lots of options to pick from! They all sound so good. We got the gelato and the bread pudding.
I like the concept of a gelato flight. The flavors my husband got – vanilla, chai chocolate chip, & Bailey’s cheesecake. Sounds awesome but the gelato itself, did not taste good. Husband only
ate about a third of the flight. It tasted more like a custard and they weren’t really flavorful. I didn’t care to finish it for him either. The bread pudding was okay. It felt a little dry for me.
Overall, would recommend this restaurant. They also had a special going on for $39! (anchovy salad, steak & broccoli, dessert shooter). I love promos! I’m not crazy for that selection but it sounded like a good deal! The food & staff are great! Just maybe, skip on dessert.

Had a great time at Water’s Edge in Mt. Pocono while on a golf trip. We came here for dinner and it ended up being a really good choice. The staff was super attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The vibe inside is relaxed and welcoming.
We started with the baked oysters Caesar salad and the crab fondue, they were all delicious and definitely worth ordering. I had the NY strip for my main dish, which was tasty (a little overcooked, but still good). I also tried some of my friend’s duck and it was excellent.
Overall, really good food, nice atmosphere, and solid service. Perfect spot for dinner if you’re in the Poconos, especially after a day on the course.

We had the 6 course dinner on Valentine’s weekend. The food was phenomenal and we really enjoyed our time there. 5 stars is well deserved for this place and it was definitely worth the price and a great start to our Valentine’s Day weekend.

A pricey dinner for food that was just average. The tomahawk steak had several fatty and chewy pieces, which was disappointing for a $150 dish. The scallops were overly salty, and the portion was mostly potatoes. Additionally, the Caesar salad could have used more dressing.I called the restaurant, but the manager only addressed seating — which wasn’t even my concern — and offered a 10% discount on three future meals, even though the restaurant is three hours from home. The manager was unhelpful and came across as quite rude. don’t come to this restaurant!

We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary staying in the Pocono’s. I saw this place when I looked up restaurants nearby. Seeing some pictures the seating by the water sold me. Walking through the door, the host made us feel as if we were regulars to the place. Especially when we told him what we celebrating and that we had chosen his place. Erin was our server and she was great! The food was delicious! We will definitely be stopping in again next time we come up. Thank you again all who made our night so special at “The Waters Edge”

After a lot of running around on an adventure of trying to give my lady the absolute best birthday that I could find. We found this little restaurant that sits along the water in this beautiful little Pocono mountain town. We went all in and had one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. My lady never finishes her entree. We always take boxes home no matter where we go. We cleared both of our plates, two appetizers, and two desserts! I can’t even describe how delicious everything was!! One of our apps was complementary, and it was actually a highlight of our meal. We only took home a few bites of a dessert that was way too good to leave behind.

This place was definitely a first and will soon be a recurring restaurant for us. When coming in the summer months, make sure to book a reservation for their outside seating, gorgeous! The staff couldn’t be any more accommodating for our party and our pupper! They were so pet friendly, it blew us away! From the swordfish to the ceviche, the lobster & crab, mussels, and the tuna – all amazing! Cooked to perfection and the service was the best! Next time, we are definitely trying the chefs tasting menu!!! So glad we found this hidden gem, only 30 mins away from Stroudsburg! Easily became one of our all time favorite restaurant! Would recommend 100/10! Food – Amazing, Service – Above & beyond, Pet friendliness- they’re treated like family, Cost – fair for the great food, return visit needed? ABSOLUTELY!!!
