The food was, for the most part, delicious. The burger was overdone and tough to eat, but everything else was excellent. The staff were very kind and helpful. The atmosphere is great. They have indoor and outdoor seating, both with a beautiful view of the lake. Parking is nearby, and they are just a nice short walk by the lake away. It can fill up on a nice day, with people visiting the lake. The only thing I wonder is if there is any wheelchair accessibility, the entrance is a little inconspicuous. I didn’t notice any signage to let you know it was the restaurant when we were walking to it. You could easily walk right by it. If that’s the only entrance, it’s all stairs.

Perfect for a birthday date night! The location is pretty quirky and cool in a good way. They have a great dog friendly balcony overlooking the lake. We came in around 6:45pm on a Monday and were immediately shown to a nice balcony table with an awesome view even though it was steadily busy. There were very few empty tables, no wait, the food was fantastic and came out quickly so they’re clearly doing things right.

Really enjoyed the food and the view is hard to beat in Grand Lake. The salad portions are huge and perfect to either split or take home for another meal. Service was great also.

Drove two and a half hours planning to take my handicap mother here for her birthday, double checked the wheelchair accessibility on Google Maps and noted there were 5 remarks this restaurant noted it was wheelchair accessible. Imagine our disappointment when we pull up to see 10+ stairs at this “wheelchair accessible” restaurant. Assuming I was missing something, I tried calling the restaurant to double check and got an error that the call to this number could not be completed. Extremely disappointed in the misleading wheelchair accessibility remarks on their Google page.

Edit. Owner Reply. I would be happy to come in and teach your CHEFS, who handle the food in-between your purveyor and customers, how to correctly debone and defin a trout. For the fee of one correctly deboned trout. Original Review: I feel a bit bad blasting this place because the staff were pleasant, and much of the food actually tasted good. However, the atmosphere outside is cobwebs. All over the facade. Even the railings on the outdoor dining have cobwebs. They have no beer on tap. They served us our Baked Brie, cold, and after our entrees had been delivered. The burger was acceptable but not cooked to order. The flesh of the fish was cooked well, unfortunately, so were the eminently prominent bones and fins still attached. I discovered the bones with my teeth and throat, and not with my fork. The saffron rice was disgusting. It was dry and clumped, burned on the edges, and largely tasteless. The only thing on my plate that came tasty and without choking hazard was the asparagus. Al dente pleasantly enough. They were kind enough to discount us half for the fish. Which was unnecessary as I removed all the bones and skin and ate the fish. Shouldn’t have to debone fish on my plate, is dangerous, and work the cook should have already completed. Rice is not hard to cook correctly. Holding it in a warmer for hours will make it dry and burned like we received.

We happened by yesterday and saw an advertisement for a special plate dinner tonight on July 4. My goodness. We were blown away! The food was outstanding. The wait staff looked after our every need. And dinner overlooking Grand Lake is a million dollar view. We are so grateful to find The Waterfront before they become the hardest place to get a reservation in Grand Lake. Well done!

Newest restaurant in Grand Lake! So thankful for the fabulous food and great service!! We tried the Mac n Cheese loaded with chicken, bacon and 4 cheeses!! The Smoked Gouda n Bacon Burger was fabulous! First time in a long time I’ve had a perfectly cooked thick burger!! From the hostess to the wait staff, such great attentive service. The view is so nice!! We had to try this place as most, if not all, the restaurants in Grand Lake are worse than ever. Definitely recommended, TOP CHOICE for restaurants in Grand Lake!

Absolutely delicious dining on the water. Ordered the poke bowl with sesame seared tuna, and beef and cheddar burger. Drinks were delicious too. Would love to come back if we are ever in colorado again! Staff was wonderful and water views were incredible.
