The Veranda is still just as beautiful as it has always been. The atmosphere has that classic, traditional charm that makes it feel special the moment you walk in. The bar area is lovely, and the drinks were well made. The restaurant itself was very clean, and the staff was attentive and professional throughout the evening.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food. It was beautifully plated and visually very appealing. My husband ordered the Chicken Orleans, and I had the Herb and Honey Encrusted Atlantic Salmon. While both dishes were good, they weren’t exceptional. The flavors didn’t feel unique or elevated in a way that matched the elegant ambiance of the restaurant.

We were hoping for a dining experience that felt special and memorable — something that stood out and justified the higher price point. Instead, the meals felt comparable to dishes we could find at other restaurants for less.

We truly wanted to love it because the setting and service were wonderful, but ultimately the value just didn’t match the food quality for us. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

Great place for special occasions. Charming historic building (formerly 2 houses joined together). Greeters and Waitstaff dressed formally. Service very attentive. Food is pricey but excellent. Inside is classy with old oak bar and woodwork, piano player. Outside has nice patio seating with a pond and waterfall.

My friends were married at the Veranda 20 years ago. They rave about the restaurant and go on their anniversary every year. We decided to make reservations for Valentines day.
Walking in, we where greeted by the hostess and seated at our table on timely matter.
The lights were dim, little lamps at table and overall a quiet romantic atmosphere.
Ordered the sea bass & my husband had the scallops. Both entrees were delicious and cooked to perfection.
Then dessert came, which was tasty as well, slice of key lime & chocolate cake with berries.
Our waiter was very intended to our needs. Definitely left full. Portions were good size.
As soon as we left I was already thinking when to make our next trip to Veranda.
Crazy that I lived here for 35 years and never dined there.
Sure missed out.
Highly recommend this place, prices are reasonable, beautiful setting and don’t have to go just for dinner. There is a full bar to sit , have a drink and enjoy your company..
Thanks for the wonderful experience and to my friends for the invite.

Our second time here, we love this place! If you’re wanting something a bit different with that old southern feel, The Veranda is the perfect spot. The sea bass with risotto, pomegranate martini, and key lime pie are incredible.

We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately. The atmosphere and beauty of this establishment was just as we had hoped. Top shelf on every aspect. Ramsey was our server and he was definitely top shelf as well. He was personable and very professional. Our dinners were prepared and presented perfectly. The food quality was exquisite. I can highly recommend this restaurant and we will be dining here again soon.

Everything was great!! Our server Winston was on top of it, shrimp cocktail app was delicious, great cocktail sauce! NY strip & Ribeye steaks cooked to perfection, garlic mashed taters very smooth & creamy, & the green beans & carrots was the perfect crunch. Not soggy at all. Piano player was very soothing to the ears. Great experience hands down. Pic is the NY strip steak dinner

Should be named The VerBlanda. My wife found the Veal Piccata had little taste. Same for my Beef Carpaccio. The New Zealand lamb chops ordered medium were rare and chewy. I asked for the sauce on the side and after tasting it did not use it. I needed salt to give the meat any taste, but still I could barely finish one of the four chops. If you are looking for a tasty salt & pepper crusted lamb chop you will need to go elsewhere.
Limited selection of wines by the glass. Paid $240 plus tax & tip.
Not too expensive if the food tasted good, but we will not be returning even if less expensive.

Amazing!!!

Atmosphere: old school fine dining, we were put in the back corner which was ok but felt a little secluded. Could not really hear the piano player. Table sets were elegant and welcoming.

Service: Our servers name was Ramsey! Informative, dapper and very prompt. The table side Caesar was fantastic, the recommended improvement would be to emulsify the dressing more to coat the greens better, but flavors were all there.

Food:

Beef Carpaccio – melt in your mouth the capers brought a wonderful salty vinegar tang with the sweetness of the balsamic vinegar.

Lamb chops: Wow! 3 double chops seasoned and cooked perfectly. Mashed potatoes and veggie side was just mashed potatoes and veggies could have done a bit better.( who really goes out for mashed potatoes and veggies?)

Halibut Special: Best dish of the night . Flavor was out of this world. The Mediterranean artichoke topped pan seared halibut over a cheesy risotto couldn’t have been better.

Crème brûlée: Simple and exquisite a perfect ending to an amazing anniversary!
