First time visiting and I was impressed by the vibe. Love the decor. Smells wonderful inside. Despite being busy the wait was relatively short. Customer service was really good. They even had a little board to apologize and advise of unavailable items. Nice touch. The brisket and ribs were really good. I ate both without the bbq sauce. I ordered pinto beans since baked beans aren’t a menu item. The potato salad had a strong dill taste. The fountain drinks were pretty good. I would rate 5 for the experience and customer service. The meats were both very good. I wasn’t overly impressed with the sides. I will try them again because of the experience, fair prices and excellent customer service. They support First Responders and Veterans.

I know what you’re going to say. “How could you give this place five stars by ordering a sandwich?” It’s all they had but it was enough to convince me how much of the real deal this place is. What’s not shown are the ribs we had and let me tell you, these ribs should never touch their bbq sauce. They are so good and not baby food like more places make them. Definitely try it if you’re in town. Get a bucket of the potato salad while you’re at it and thank me later

The food was good but cant imagine this being the best in Ellis County. Prices were steep, and not sure if it’s a pandemic thing but we ordered for dine in and were served in plastic containers to go. It was hard to fit everything on the table because of the lids. Service was good but food needs help. The ribs were lacking texture, falling off the bone is good but not when the meat looks like shredded. Brisket was good and juicy. Potato salad was good. Mac and cheese like from a box, nothing memorable. The only one choice of BBQ sauce on the table was missing a kick and was watery. The loaded potato was missing seasoning, the cheese was not even slightly melted, and the sour cream was given to us in a packet and when we tried to squeeze it over the potato it came out like cream cheese. I wish the dressed this little better and more appealing. Pulled pork sandwich was average and bland.

Newly opened, so thought I would try it out. Ordered the pulled pork nachos, chopped brisket and potato salad. I have to say all were great, and a cut above. The place is very nice inside and the staff was super friendly. Service to go was a little slow but that was to be expected in a place that just opened. But it was worth the wait.

As a first timer, I was expecting mediocre bbq, but I was pleasantly surprised. The menu includes reasonably priced plates with large portions. My husband got sausage and I got the sliced brisket. Our sides were the beans and Mac and cheese. While we were waiting, we got our cokes but the carbonation was missing. I told one of the staff and they had it fixed within a few minutes, even when other customers were entering and being helped. Overall, 5 stars isn’t enough for the service, food and atmosphere. All the fixings, not over-done decor, great service and even better food make for a great restaurant that we will go to again many more times.

Staff was friendly and food was excellent. I ordered the sliced brisket and it had a great bark and was tender. Coleslaw is more vinegar than sweet.
