Planning our holiday event at Upper West Restaurant turned out to be an amazing decision.
The entire restaurant was decorated beautifully and looked very festive, and combined with great food and warm service, it became the perfect holiday party. Many of our company’s employees told me this was the best holiday party they’ve ever had.
From my first meeting with Fred, the process was simple and stress-free. He even helped me find the perfect DJ and assisted with decorating the tables and buffet, making everything come together seamlessly.

The Upper West is such a great spot on the Westside. The atmosphere is lively, stylish, and welcoming perfect for a date night, dinner with friends, or even just drinks at the bar. The space feels energetic but still comfortable enough to actually enjoy your meal and conversation.
The food was excellent everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You can really tell they pay attention to quality and presentation. The menu has a great variety, so there’s something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for something light or a more filling entrée.
The service was another highlight. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of without hovering. Drinks came out quickly, and the staff overall made the experience smooth and enjoyable.
Overall, The Upper West delivers great food, great vibes, and great service. Definitely a go-to spot in Santa Monica, and I’ll absolutely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

I came here for a large birthday party, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They were attentive without being overbearing, seamlessly taking care of everyone and making the night feel special. Every detail feels thought through, which makes the whole experience seamless. The staff truly makes this restaurant magical.
The cocktails alone are worth the trip. The espresso martini was flawless. It was smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. Pair that with their food, and you’re in for a treat. The spicy ahi tuna over crispy rice is a standout. It was fresh, flavorful, with just the right amount of heat. I would order this again and again, every time! The grilled octopus was another highlight, tender and perfectly charred with a depth of flavor that shows real finesse in the kitchen. You can’t miss with the way this seafood is prepared.
Happy hour here is also incredible, being so well priced, with delicious bites and cocktails that pair perfectly together. It’s rare to find that kind of quality at such a value.

Warning: Don’t look for a happy hour menu. This restaurant doesn’t have one. The happy hour menu is simply a discount on some drinks.
Our drinks were $11 each which is good, but I would not pay the regular price for them. The first drink was super weak on the vodka, but the second one was much stronger.
The food here is good but the portions are small, and quite pricey. We tried the chocolate pie dessert but didn’t like it because it tasted too pre-made.
Our server gave good service. Overall, not a bad place.

Amazing food!!! Started off with a frosty cold glass of an IPA. We had incredible service and the sausage flatbread was the perfect mix of sweetness in a balsamic vinaigrette with spicy heat from the red peppers. Crunchy, fresh dough like it was pizza straight from Napoli. Coming back here for my birthday party!!!!

I would be willing to drive in Santa Monica rush hour traffic to come back here. Excellent food and really attentive, friendly staff. The waiter gave his honest thoughts on the menu and recommended me the pork loin. So delicious and juicy with a homemade apple sauce topping and a side of smooth, rich mashed potatoes. Loved the green beans, corn and cauliflower, too. Finished with a bread pudding that made me say, “Oh, wow,” out loud. You’ve gotta go here.

This is a go to restaurant for folks in West LA. Great bar with about 400 different choices. The menu is really good with some exceptional dishes. The pork tenderloin is as good as it gets. The wedge salad is one of the best anywhere with great slices of maple bacon. service is outstanding and they make you feel like family. The event room is large and fun as it’s glassed in yet private.
