We had an excellent meal. Devon was an excellent server. My husband had the catfish and I had the Johnny cakes with succotash. We split a slice of chocolate chess pie for dessert which they were able to top with ice cream. The manager came by twice to check on us as well. The dining room was historic as its part of the Shaker Village.

My husband had never been to Shaker Village, so we made plans to celebrate Valentine’s Day there, and I am beyond thrilled that we did.

The Valentine’s menu was beautifully curated: rich, decadent, and exactly what you want when celebrating love. We enjoyed the Steak Diane, the braised short rib (from the regular menu), grilled oysters, three sides, the flourless chocolate torte, and the chocolate cake. Every single dish was flawless. When Rebecca, the manager, presented the short rib and I saw that slight bounce, I knew instantly it would be perfectly fork-tender, and it exceeded every expectation. Truly outstanding.

The service was impeccable. Devin, our server, was gracious, kind, and attentive. Her pride in her work and in the restaurant was evident throughout the evening. In fact, the entire service team carried themselves with professionalism and warmth, well-spoken, polished, and genuinely accommodating.
Lisa and Rebecca looked incredibly professional and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Gracie, the host, orchestrated the dining room like a fine-tuned conductor. The entire experience felt seamless and intentional from start to finish.

This was, without question, the best dining experience my husband and I, two fairly discerning food lovers, have had in the Lexington area. It is truly not a place to be missed.

We tip our hats to Chef Amber and the culinary team for executing a flawless meal, and to the front-of-house staff for going above and beyond to make the evening unforgettable.

Thank you, truly.

This place was a strange set of contradictions. About an hour before they reopened for dinner we were able to get a reservation for two at 5:00. But they turned a single man away at five as they could not accommodate him until at least 5:30. But at 5 they had a single small party of people in each of four separate rooms. See photos.

The food itself for the most part was tasty but the portion sizes were very small and random items were very salty. So note if this is a concern in your personally diet or palate.

The fried chicken was excellent. The salmon small portion and salty. The fried green tomatoes were good but were made for someone who likely doesn’t like fried green tomatoes as you could not actually taste the tomatoes.

My wife’s salad was fabulous but the broccolini was very salty.

The micro sized roll and other starter items were very good but so small.

Also of note. If you click through to their actual website the menu there is the menu we were presented with but don’t bother to look at the menu listed on this Google maps record. They don’t have that food and I assure you the prices are much higher. Too high? Well only you can decide that but honestly while we can afford their prices had we been aware of the real price we would have passed for another venue.

My family and a hand full of our friends have had our last few Sunday breakfasts at Trustees’s Table. The buffet is really amazing. More than that, I want to say from the hostess, to the servers, the ones who prepared the food, and the managers, are a delight. Full of kindness, making accommodations when we had some extras join us at the last minute. The building is filled with wonderful people. Back to the ones who prepared the food. We’ve brought folks from different regions and all walks of life to your table. They ALL Love what your cooking!! Thank you again for a wonderful morning with my family and friends. Can’t wait for our next visit!

Saturday buffet breakfast, the usual fare.
Unusual was the whole fruit, cut your own oranges and apples at your table. Kind of awkward.
Coffee was rich and large mugs. My wife said there is a nice selection of tea bags.
Service was great, a casual pace which we like.
We’ve eaten here annually for years but something new was the three point five percent service fee for credit card. For a historical preservation site, I’m not critical.

Everything about this place was amazing. I knew it was going to be pricey, which made me expect the food to be just ok. I couldn’t have been more wrong! I ordered the pork chop and brussel sprouts. This was, by far, the BEST chop I have ever had anywhere! It was tender, juicy, and thick, with the best flavor! The sprouts were glazed and crispy, with a burst of salty greatness in your mouth! I highly recommend this restaurant for dates, special occasions, or just a family outing. Make sure you have reservations.

Would have gave 0 stars if available. Made reservations for 6 pm after 30 mins had to go up to the host ask her how much longer we had reservations at 6. She said oh let me check on a table and get you seated. Once seated it took the server 10 mins to get to our table. We just walked out.

Located in Shaker’s village, we walked to the front with no reservation and were extremely accommodating. Recommended by our camp host- the food and service was amazing. The BEST pork chop I have ever had. Lemon tart was tasty and the family side dishes were delicious.
Cora was our server and she was helpful informative!
