Social Profile:

The Tie Dyed Pig is a locally owned bakery and diner. We smoke our own meats (pulled pork, ribs and beef brisket.) Our sides are made in-house and our daily vegetables are cooked and seasoned the country way. We have daily specials. In the bakery, we offer an assortment of jumbo cupcakes, cookies, pies and cakes. Fresh baked breads will be coming soon. Our cakes are decorated home style – not with a lot of frills and we do not write names or offer custom decorations on them. We have a full ABC license. Oink! Wear your elastic clothes because this southern food is the real deal. Brisket & fried onions on buttery Texas Toast, BLT with a thick slice of tomato… wow! Their fries are the best. We were really hoping for a little bit of breakfast for lunch, but hey wait, they had us covered with amazing cinnamon rolls. We took home a 4-pack; it became a 3-pack actually 😉 Really wanted to pick out a dessert (lava cake, cheesecake, different pies, thick chunky cookies) from their display case, but we’ll need to make room next time.

I love this place so much I’m there every Saturday with my wife. Prime rib is at the top of my list. But everything is delicious. Brisket, seafood, meatloaf and fish. The side dishes….Collard greens mac and cheese, potato salad to list a few… are soo goood. The desserts are out of this world. I had to buy the whole chocolate chess pie!!!

We had dinner here yesterday. We had deep fried tomatoes, pickles and mushrooms for appetizers. For dinner we ordered a Reuben and mac and cheese and a burger and fries, mac and cheese and baked apples. We also ended ordering 2 slices of cheesecake to go. The food was all delicious and we can’t wait to go back.

Charming pig motif dominates this place. It’s a hoot. Service is top notch. The brisket, chicken, and ribs can be garnished by sweet, vinegar, or “in-between” sauces. Best mash and gravy in the area. About 25 bucks a plate for us, but being local, we wrung two more meals out of it which amortized it to three eight dollar a plate meals. If you can catch them open on their limited hours, eat here!

One of mine and my husband’s favorite local restaurants. So much so, they made the cinnamon rolls for our wedding! They also supplied our BBQ sauces and were SO polite about a family friend cooking our barbecue. After our wedding, the owners remembered us, asked how our day was and asked if their sauces paired with our BBQ okay. This was top notch customer service for us; Owners remembering their customers and worried about experience even down to the small things, like sauce.

We happened upon The Tie-Dyed Pig quite by accident on our road trip north and consider it one of our top finds! The food is all fresh and deliciously homemade. It has a fun, colorful decor and some fabulous sweet treats to top off your meal! Loved the friendly owner too!

Friends treated me to fish dinner during Lent. The breading was light, just crispy, the fish flakey. Hardly any oil when placed on a paper napkin. Perfectly breaded, perfectly cooked, perfect temperature.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. It’s just what a BBQ restaurant in the south should look like–pig decor everywhere, crazy colors, sweet tea and beer in a frosty glass, multiple sauces for your slow cooked ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. And they’ve got a variety of desserts and baked goods to boot. It’s mainly run by a couple of guys who own the place, so the hours are limited and they shut down for emergencies. But if you get the chance, definitely try them out.

This is one of those places it’s worth stopping off the interstate for. It’s an adorable small business with some amazing food. We ordered the pulled pork bbq and shredded chicken bbq with baked beans, mashed potatoes and gravy with a roll. On the way out those gigantic cookies called our name and we got the Reese Cup and Red Velvet. Holy Moly they weigh a lot and are so good. Stop by and give them a shot! #supportsmall
