For dinner we ordered the butter chicken and the chicken korma, along with the bread basket that had a variety of naan. Everything was incredible. The butter chicken was rich and comforting, the korma was creamy and full of flavor, and the naan was warm and fresh.
The staff was so attentive and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Our food also came out quickly, which we really appreciated. Overall, such a great meal and experience. We’ll definitely be back!
Food and Fantasy Team
On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Overall, though, I left disappointed… But flavors were decent.
To begin, my friend eats gluten-free and dairy-free (not to the point of cross-contamination dangerous, but just eating it directly) and so she was a little apprehensive about finding delicious good food that didn’t have any of that in it.
But from the start, our waiter Ravi could tell her from any and everything on the menu what it had in it and what was gluten or dairy free. (That was a big feat considering they have a substantial menu with lots of items!) That was great, but even better he went out of his way to make us a free appetizer gluten- and dairy-free (pakora) and giving it to us just as a kind gesture! Then, throughout our meal, he was careful to make sure the other waiters knew that we were eating gluten- and dairy-free so that if they offered anything else, it would fit that. That was so considerate of him.
Even outside of that, there were still plenty of dishes we could eat that were gluten- and dairy-free, and we ordered one of the biryani dishes, lamb Rogan Josh, and some roti that were all completely gluten- and dairy-free. All of it was DELICIOUS. No watered-down, Americanized Indian food here – they were bold flavors with subtleties of seasoning and cooked right. I so enjoyed the lamb Rogan Josh. And the helpings were large – one dish would have fed my friend and I completely, so with two dishes we had plenty to take home to enjoy later.
Towards the end when I was paying the bill, the staff member found out it was my birthday and offered a free piece of cake (he warned that it was Indian-style cake and so a little bit different). He offered any flavor I chose, and I went with the mango – it was different and delicious. It was not gluten- and dairy-free, so at one point when he was bringing it, Ravi, our waiter, intercepted him and quickly explained that we were gluten- and dairy-free – I so appreciated that. Ravi was on it and wanted to be very careful to help us. However, I explained to him that I could eat the dairy and gluten, even though my friend couldn’t. And eat it I did.
Later, heading out the door, my friend, and I tried to take a selfie in front of the “Keep calm and curry on” sign. We were failing miserably and laughing about it when another waiter saw us through the door and gently came and offered to take it for us. It was another kind and considerate gesture!
Overall, it was a wonderful time with delicious food and exceptional staff. Which equals a 500/100 win.
Go yourself.
This place doesn’t have the best prices of Indian food but it’s average or lower for the area and they have a super full menu, I’ll literally never get to try everything.
Service has always been good and friendly even when the place is packed, and you can order take out. But if you do sit in, the restaurant is set up in a way that a server will always be in reach, though they might be busy. Even so, staff is friendly and will talk you through your options if desired. I’ve had to wait a bit to ask for the check, but otherwise never had any problems. Do note that this place does a lot of business.
