Delicious tamales! I’ve tried every flavor and they are all amazing. They even have vegetarian and soy options. The watermelon agua fresca was fantastic. I took a dozen tamales home to heat up later. Love this place.

Visited and picked up a 12 pack with half vegetarian and half meat tamales. Brought the 12 pack of tamales to work and it was a hit! My team loved the spiciness of the red bean and jalapeno, the savory goodness of the soy chorizo, and the meat tamales were amazing! Will be back to get more and also to try out the champurrado

So sad to see the state of this restaurant. Before the pandemic, my family would frequent The Tamale Guy and it was so pleasant. Now it’s just depressing. They never have anything in stock and there’s nowhere to sit, only one small table for two people. Where they used to have tables and a tv that played music, they have freezers. With all those freezers out in what used to be the seating area you would think they would have enough ingredients but they’re always running out of something. Today they didn’t have beans so we got two scopes of rice, if you dine in your meal doesn’t come on a plate anymore it comes in a to-go container. We noticed they changed the rice, they used to use jasmine rice which was very flavorful but now they have bland white rice. Really my money probably would have been better spent somewhere else, like Patty’s. The tamale I had was good but my husband’s was burnt. Seen complaints about this happening several times before. Not the most comfortable place to be in but if you’re ordering to go and only tamales should be fine unless they run out of those too.

Drove from Pomona to this place thinking is a good place. the place is not even open on the hours it says on line . It’s frustrating . I should of read the reviews first people getting sick and owner being rude to customer and people getting shot outside and people being forced to order expensive items .Tik tok don’t know why you promoting this spot after all these bad reviews. Tried calling no answer.

Do not buy. We tried them at the farmers market and they taste nothing like tamales. Extra dry and not flavorful at all. Very disappointed especially for the price.

They used to be amazing!! Their vegan tamales were so delicious! Now it seems that they are never open anymore. We’ve called several times over the past couple months during business hours and the phone goes unanswered. Also stopped by several times and the door sign says closed and the lobby looks a mess. Thinking they may be permanently closed…or at least they soon will be if they keep on this path. Guess it’s time to find a new tamale supplier

Little taste of home for me. I’ve never mastered making tamales so I come here to get my fix. During holidays heads up, order ahead as they usually sell out. They are open all year and have a small menu to order from besides tamales. Worth the trip!!

Terrible service. Received the wrong order. If you are Hispanic and know what good tamale is, then you find this is not the place for a good tamale. Sweet corn tamale was terrible. Pork tamales have NO CHILE, not red or green.

I stopped by this place on my way home from work. It is located on Foothill Blvd on the border of Claremont and Pomona. I picked up an assorted (meat, vegie, and dessert) dozen of tamales.

Absolutely incredible, and a great price on Wednesdays! We got a dozen absolutely delicious tamales for around $19 and we could not be happier. Great customer service and great (speedy!) food!!
