Got my wife 2 shrimp tacos with cilantro and onion. She liked them and the green and red homemade sauces. That got them the 2 stars. I got a steak burrito. Long, narrow, and loosely wrapped making it a mess to eat. What authentic Mexican place can’t wrap a tight burrito? Taste was bland. $23 for 2 star food is not a good deal so I doubt we’ll come back.

It’s a nondescript stretch of Dodge Avenue. No neon signs calling for the James Beard committee, no valet parking, just a storefront that looks like it’s been holding its ground while the rest of the world worries about sourdough starters and foam. This is The Supreme Burrito.
You don’t come here for the “ambience.” If you’re looking for a curated experience, go back to the Loop. You come here because the air smells like rendered fat and searing protein—the universal language of people who actually give a damn about feeding you.
I sat down with a Steak Burrito, California Style. Now, usually, shoving french fries into a burrito is a move I view with the same suspicion I reserve for “fusion” tapas or a middle-aged man in a ponytail. It’s a risk. It’s often a soggy, starchy cry for help.
But here? It’s a revelation.
The steak has that beautiful, aggressive char—bits of crispy exterior giving way to tender, seasoned beef that hasn’t been steamed into submission in a metal tray. The fries provide a structural integrity and a salty, golden crunch that plays off the creaminess of the avocado. It’s heavy, it’s honest, and it’s unapologetic.
I’ll say it, and I don’t care who hears: it’s the best burrito I’ve ever had. It’s the kind of meal that makes you want to go find the cook, shake their hand, and then sit in total silence for twenty minutes contemplating your life choices.

Love the food. We always get guacamole, my husband get steak tacos and I like a variety but lengua, steak, chicken even shrimp are consistently good. He staff are friendly too! We always carry out. The dining room is very plain.

This little restaurant it’s in the corner of Main and Dodge. It’s very popular the food is served so quickly it’s amazing at the speed they work. I recommend the carne asada nachos. I tried the chicken burrito I didn’t like the flavor of the Chicken. A lot of people order to go I ate there. It is very affordable . I’m definitely going back.

My sister comes here all the time and raves about their food. I love Mexican food and it’s so hard to find authentic restaurants here in the suburbs. I finally Found THIS GEM AND ITS DELICIOUS FOOD! We love everything here specially the tacos dinner and tres leches. Everyone who works there is also wonderful, nice, and attentive.
We really appreciated that we got refunded back the tamales we ordered because we forgot to pick it up on the counter. We love the friendliness and honest business of this place. thanks Mauricio!!!
